«Breaking News» The Twilight Zone reboot extended trailer teases a star-studded cast

CBS All Access has released a new extended trailer for their highly-anticipated reboot of The Twilight Zone, which offers a glimpse at the star-studded cast.

Stars such as Seth Rogen, Adam Scott, Kumail Nanjiani and Ike Barinholtz, to name just a few, are seen in this trailer, along with series host Jordan Peele.

It seems a vast majority of the cast members are comedians who are taking much darker turns in this series, much like how Peele broke out from Key & Peele to write and direct the much darker hit Get Out.

Like the earlier incarnations of The Twilight Zone, this will be an anthology series which tells, 'various tales of science fiction, horror and mystery.'

The trailer begins with a scene featuring Adam Scott's character saying, 'I know my limits, I know who I am,' while he's later seen on a plane saying, 'We're running out of time' and telling another character, 'You're gonna want to listen to me.'

There are also brief shots of Ike Barinholtz and other characters seen outside, while Sanaa Lathan's character isn't sure if something is wrong with her mind, or if she's in, 'some kind of parallel universe.'

The trailer then shows a scene featuring John Cho's character, saying, 'America needs a truth.'

There is a brief glimpse of Seth Rogen's character, along with a group of people at a political rally for a candidate named Oliver.

There is also a shot of Allison Tolman's character, telling Cho, 'Wasn't this all supposed to be over months ago?' which may or may not be an allusion to the 2016 Trump campaign.

There is also a shot of Kumail Nanjiani, who plays a stand-up comic, who is standing outside of his show when he's approached by two fans who tell him he, 'totally killed' in his performance.

This same character is later seen frantically looking around for a little boy, asking bystanders if they've seen a little boy.

He is then seen conversing with Tracy Morgan's character, who tells him, 'You will be successful. Are you sure that's what you want?'

There a small devil head seen on a spring, which could be a reference to Morgan being the devil and Nanjiani's character trying to sell his soul for success.

There are also brief shots of characters played by Ginnifer Goodwin, Chris O'Dowd, Rhea Seehorn, along with a prophetic speech from another character, who states, 'When the world is trying to tell you something, it will repeat itself until you get it.'

There are also brief glimpses at Steven Yeun, Jacob Tremblay, and many more, with Lathan stating, 'I don't expect you to believe me, I just need you to help me end it.'

The trailer ends with a brief shot of Peele as the narrator, with the new series debuting on CBS All Access this coming Monday, April 1.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
