«Breaking News» Chris Evans keeps fans guessing as he jokes about Captain America's death ahead of Avengers: Endgame

With just days left until Avengers: Endgame hits theaters, Chris Evans has addressed the persistent rumors that his character Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America, is killed off.

Since Endgame represents the last movie of his Marvel contract, which spanned seven films, many are curious if Rogers will die in this movie, which Evans joked about a few times in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

When the reporter tries to change the subject and abruptly tells the 37 year old actor to tell him the ending to Avengers: Endgame, he played rather coy.

'Yeah, I wish I could,' Evans began. 'Uh, it's — I mean — it's a good one. It's a real good one. I saw, like, the first hour of it.'

When the reporter asks, 'So you watched it up to the point where Cap dies?' the actor decided to play along and keep the jokes coming.

'Right, exactly,' he added, before joking about how he dies. 'After I die by Tony's hand, I just said, You know what? I can't watch this.'

Given the intense fanfare around Avengers: Endgame, which closes out Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with fans looking for even the smallest of details to dissect, the reporter clarified that he was joking.

'I can't believe they even cut together a trailer, because so much of it is a visual spoiler. You'll see. A lot of the characters have-'

The actor stopped himself and then covered his mouth, adding, ' Probably shouldn't have even said that.'

After contemplating what he could actually say about the movie, he said, 'Man. This one's really good. I choked up like three times.'

When asked if he choked up because, 'Cap dies,' he continued to joke about his beloved character's supposed demise.

'Right. It's hard. Seeing my own death,' he said, while laughing.

Evans, a New England native, has long been a fan of New England Patriots and their star quarterback Tom Brady, but after the quarterback hinted he supports President Trump, he revealed he may have to re-consider his support.

'I don't know. I really hope he's not a Trump supporter,' Evans said. 'I'm just hoping he's one of those guys that maybe supported him and now regrets it,' he added, before calling out the President.

'Maybe he thought it was going to be different — and even that bothers me — but maybe there's a chance now he just thinks Trump's an absolute dumb s**t, which he is.'

'If he doesn't, if he's still on that Trump train, I might have to cut ties. It's really tough,' Evans added.

'It's going to be a long movie, that's for sure. The first edit clocked in over three hours. My funeral's like an hour,' he joked.

It was recently confirmed that Avengers: Endgame will span three hours and two minutes, making it the longest Marvel Cinematic Universe movie in history.

Avengers: Endgame will bring Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Phase Four kicking off this summer with Spider-Man: Far From Home, hitting theaters July 5.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
