«Breaking News» The Block's Jess Eva reveals what comment she thought cost her job as a Triple M breakfast show host

She's just landed her dream gig on radio, hosting a breakfast show on Triple M. 

And former The Block star Jess Eva revealed she thought she 'screwed up' the trail for the gig, thanks to talking about nits. 

Talking to Radio Today, Jess said: 'I thought I'd completely screwed up the Triple M trial after doing a rave about how I'd caught nits in my trial and for some reason they offered me a job!'

She went on to describe the job as her 'dream job.'

The bubbly blonde spoke about how she's true to herself on air, saying: 'Being honest and unashamed of your life's downfalls has been my main style of on-air banter.'

In December, it was revealed that Jess scored the coveted hosting gig on Triple M.

Jess joined Lawrence Mooney, Gus Worland and Chris Page on the show, Moonman in the Morning, which replaced the old breakfast show, The Grill Team.  

'Just to be around those incredible minds is really exciting,' Jess told Nine Honey at the time.

'Some of the writers and producers are some of the best in the country. I'm just really looking forward to really good people who are focused on good radio'. 

Jess' new breakfast show is her first job since competing on The Block alongside partner Norm Hogan last year.

The pair became breakout stars on renovation series, and despite coming last still walked away with $209,000 in prize money.

It won't be Jess' first foray on the airwaves, with the blonde having previously hosted radio shows in Cairns and The Sunshine Coast.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
