Wildlife officials have been left outraged after an impertinent couple landed their helicopter in middle of the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve to catch an up-close - and illegal - glimpse of the flowers in super bloom.
Workers at the southern California park say they've been working desperately to protect the delicate flowers from being destroyed by the hoards of people descending on the park during the its peak season of serenity.
With wait times to enter the reserve sometimes exceeding an hour during their busiest periods, park workers have reportedly been telling visitors to stay on the designated trails and to stop picking or walking over the flowers.
But there's one thing they say they didn't think they needed to warn visitors against: jumping the line in their helicopter and landing it in the middle of the poppy field.
According to a Facebook post published by the park, the unidentified couple landed their aircraft in the center of a field and began hiking off a nearby trial in the reserve
With the bright orange poppies now in full bloom, officials have urged the public not to 'Doom the bloom' and refrain from walking over plants in search of the perfect Instagram photo
'We never thought it would be explicitly necessary to state that it is illegal to land a helicopter in the middle of the fields,' the reserve said in a Facebook post. 'We were wrong.'
According to the post, the unidentified couple landed their aircraft in the center of a field and began hiking off a nearby trial in the reserve.
However, the illegal jaunt was short-lived, as, when authorities began approaching the couple, they fled back to their helicopter and flew away, according to KTLA.
The Park post and photograph of the vessel in question, which elicited a host of incensed comments arguing the couple clearly had more money than sense or empathy.
'Money buys arrogance and sense of entitlement and privilege,' one user responded. 'What it apparently doesn’t buy is common sense and decency.'
'They were probably celebrating bribing their way into USC,' another Facebook user commented in response.

Antelope Valley has experienced a number of other truants illegally gaining access to the reserve by breaking through barbed-wire fencing and trampling over the poppies in the process
Picking or destroying the park's wildflowers is also a violation of the law
The Antelope Valley reserve, like many of the other national parks in California, is currently experiencing a super bloom following the state's rainy winter.
With the bright orange poppies now in full bloom, officials have urged the public to stay on the path and refrain from walking over plants in search of the perfect Instagram photo, with their hashtag #DontDoomTheBloom.
Similar to the helicopter couple, Antelope Valley has experienced a number of other truants illegally gaining access to the reserve by breaking through barbed-wire fencing and trampling over the poppies in the process.
'It only takes a few to wreck the habitat for years to come,' the park said on Twitter.
'There are areas in the Reserve that haven't recovered from trampling in 2017.'
Picking or destroying the park's wildflowers is also a violation of the law, the park reminded.
It's not yet clear whether the couple in the helicopter will face charges. A spokesperson for the park said the matter was 'still under investigation'.

Workers at the southern California park say...
It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
