The widow of a Brooklyn millionaire landlord whose charred body was found in a Long Island dumpster reacted with shock and anger on Wednesday after a man convicted for his role in the killing received a relatively light sentence.
‘I will forever be haunted by the image of my husband’s end,’ a tearful Bashie Stark, 44, said in Brooklyn Superior Court on Wednesday.
‘Our lives will never be the same.’
Shortly after Stark spoke, Kings County Supreme Court Justice Danny Chun sentenced Kendall Felix to between two-and-one-thirds and seven years in prison.

Stark is the widow of Menachem Stark, the 39-year-old father of seven children who died in a botched kidnap-and-extortion plot in January 2014

They spoke during the sentencing hearing for Kendall Felix (above), who pleaded guilty to second-degree conspiracy and first-degree hindering prosecution
Felix bought the gasoline and burned Stark’s body after the Hasidic businessman had been kidnapped and killed by cousins Kendel Felix and Erskine Felix.
Kendall Felix pleaded guilty to second-degree conspiracy and first-degree hindering prosecution, according to the Brooklyn Daily Eagle.
In exchange for his guilty plea, he was given a relatively lenient sentence.
‘I feel that it’s way too little,’ said Menachem Stark’s sister-in-law, Yenti Hershkovitz.
‘The man ruined a living family’s life. No one asked him to burn the body.
‘Cruel beyond words. I believe he deserves a lot more.’
Chun said he decided on the lenient sentence because of Kendall Felix’s age and his college degree.
‘I was also convinced that this defendant was not the mastermind for many, many reasons,’ the judge said.

‘This defendant is not the mastermind behind the planning to kidnap Mr. Stark in this case.’
In January 2014, Menachem Stark, a 39-year-old married father of seven children, was abducted outside of his office in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
The landlord's body was found partially burned in a dumpster near a gas station in Great Neck, Long Island, two days after he went missing.
Erskine, 40, and Kendall Felix, 30, who are brothers, were arrested in 2016.
Erskine Felix, who once did construction work for Stark, allegedly grabbed Stark during the January 2, 2014 blizzard and dragged him into the back seat of his father’s van.

He was charged with first-degree kidnapping and second-degree murder. He faces between 25 years and life in prison if convicted.
Authorities believe the Felix cousins planned to kidnap Stark and extort money from him, but the plan went awry when Stark tried to get away.
As he was transported in a van, one of the cousins sat on his chest in an attempt to keep him from trying to escape, causing Stark to die.
After Stark suffocated to death, the two cousins met up with Erskine’s brother, Kendall Felix, and a fourth man, Irvine Henry.
Henry has been charged with tampering with evidence and conspiracy.
Kendel Felix, 30, a former employee of Stark’s, was convicted of second degree murder, according to the New York Post.
After Stark died, Kendall Felix bought the gasoline and drove with it to a dumpster in Great Neck.

‘He lit a piece of paper on fire and then set Menachem Stark’s body on fire,’ said Assistant District Attorney Howard Jackson at sentencing.
'This defendant went to help purchase the gasoline,' Jackson told Chun.
'This defendant specifically poured the gasoline on the victim, lit a piece of paper towel on fire, and lit Menachem Stark’s body on fire.
'For his role in this crime, he’s extremely fortunate to have this offer.'
Stark, 39, has been described as an honest family man eager to help his neighbors and friends, a man who had no enemies.
But he’s also been called a slumlord. Some of his buildings were in disrepair, and he owed millions of dollars to creditors and had declared bankruptcy in 2009.
He lived in a stately brick building in Williamsburg, a neighborhood where hipsters in skinny jeans live alongside ultra-Orthodox men with ear locks and fur hats and women in modest dresses.
Brooklyn is home to the largest group of ultra-Orthodox Jews outside Israel, more than 250,000.

Stark came from a large family, and his funeral was flooded with mourners.
'His generosity knew no bounds, not only with money but with his kindness, his patience, his legendary smile,' Bashie Stark said of her husband.
'The trauma from that night will never leave us.'
She said she was particularly aghast at the manner in which the suspects tried to dispose of her husband's body.
'I will be haunted by the image of my husband’s end,' Bashie Stark said.
Kendall Felix declined to give a statement to the court on Wednesday.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
