Hollywood's most infamous private investigator - who once worked exclusively for Michael Jackson - is set to be a free man for the first time in 15 years.
On Saturday, Anthony Pellicano, 75, will be released from the Terminal Island Federal Correctional Institution in San Pedro, California, having been convicted of 78 counts of wiretapping, intimidation and racketeering more than a decade ago.
Prior to his incarceration, Pellicano was considered to be an invaluable asset to the stars of Tinseltown, boasting a résumé of A-list clientele that included the likes of Sylvester Stallone, Elizabeth Taylor and Tom Cruise.
The private eye became prolific in obtaining and protecting the darkest secrets of Hollywood stars, with the help of a sprawling network of wire-tappings he oversaw in his Sunset Boulevard office.

Prior to his incarceration, Pellicano was considered to be an invaluable asset to the stars of Tinseltown. He worked as a private eye for a number of stars, including Tom cruise
Pellicano, who used to drive around town with a baseball bat in his trunk, would go above and beyond the law for his clients, even offering to have a producer killed and buried in the desert, according to testimony from his 2002 trial.
In 1993, following the singer's first accusation of child molestation, Michael Jackson hired Pellicano to source information to better his standings at trial.
Pellicano says he was so horrified by the information he uncovered about Jackson, he later 'fired' the singer and refused to work for him any further.
He has previously denied to speculate on what the information specifically detailed. The Jackson family vehemently deny any allegations of sexual misconduct against the 'King of Pop'.
'I was offered $500,000 to tell the whole story by a tabloid, and I declined, even though, while incarcerated, I needed the money,' he told the Hollywood Reporter last year.
'That would get too close to the truth, so, regretfully, I [had] to decline.'
The fixer would take a vow of silence - or 'omerta', as he calls it - with all of his clients to elicit their trust.

Specializing in salacious matters, the investigator would charge an up-front, non-refundable fee of $25,000, before adding additional case-specific fees which could exceed several hundred thousand.
But in June 2002, his career began to unravel spectacularly following an incident with former LA times reporter, Anita Busch.
At the time, Busch had been investigating a story about actor Steven Seagal's Mafia ties, when she walked out of her home one morning to find a bullet hole through her windscreen, a dead fish with a rose in its mouth on the bonnet, and the word 'Stop' written on a piece of cardboard.
Busch also said that two men driving a Mercedes later tried to run her over, and she received a warning that her car was going to be blown up.
Investigating the threats against Busch, the FBI raided Pellicano's office in November the same year, where they found grenades and C4 explosives in his safe.
Though he denied any part in the intimidation against Busch, he conceded the work could've been conducted by of his associates.

He was sentenced to 30 months in prison on weapons charges, but in 2006, just weeks before his scheduled release, Pellicano was held on an additional 70 charges of racketeering, wire fraud and wiretapping, which he was convicted of in 2008.
Pellicano's private investigators license was revoked following his first conviction. It's not clear what the 75-year-old plans to do for work following his release.
Friends and former employers have pooled together and contributed to a trust fund, believed to be somewhere in the 'tens of thousands' of dollars, according to the New York Times.
The names of the donors have not been released.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
