Nick posted two photos - a screenshot of text messages that were exchanged between Nick and his family when the incident occurred, and a photo of the dog in the car at the time.

The text messages revealed that Nick's mother, Monica Garcia, was locked out of her own car by her pet dog, Pete.

The mother, who was evidently in a state of panic, had messaged her family to ask for help.

In a text message to a family messenger group, she wrote: 'Pete locked me out of my car.'

She also revealed that her phone was inside the locked car with Pete, and Nick clarified in a subsequent tweet that his mother had used her iPad to send the messages.

The panicked mother then pleaded for someone to send help to her car.

She wrote: 'Send AAA PLEASE TO OUR HOUSE.'

In a later tweet, Nick revealed that his mother was waiting for three hours for AAA to come to the scene before they finally showed up.

Since the tweet was posted, it has gone viral, gathering over 420,000 likes.

Similarly, the tweet has received 95,000 retweets and a total of 1,300 comments.

Hundreds of different people reacted to the hilarious incident, with some saying they once found themselves in similar situations.

Similarly, another added: 'We had a little dog that did this. At a gas station 40 min from home. At the end of a 12hr road trip. Used beef jerky by the window to get her to step on the button again. She went from 0 —>Hero!'

A different Twitter user said: 'He got that look on his face you make when you ain’t got no cash for the people on the curb. Just staring forward.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
