«Breaking News» Pensioner is knocked off her feet by the famous Severn Bore wave as she tries to get the best shot

Hoping to get a good shot of the famous Severn Bore, Jill Roberts crept close to the riverbank to secure an unobstructed view. 

But the amateur photographer got a better look at the tidal phenomenon than she bargained for. 

Sweeping down the river at Minsterworth, Gloucestershire, the waves smashed over the riverbank, knocking the pensioner off her feet. 

Mrs Roberts, who was taken completely by surprise, was drenched but unhurt.

Yesterday’s Bore – formed when tides force water up the funnel-shaped Bristol Channel and Severn Estuary – was graded at its highest level, five. 

Bores can travel up to 13mph and reach 9ft high in parts.

As Mrs Roberts tries to get away from the oncoming waves the water splashes up on to the bank. Bores can travel up to 13mph and reach 9ft high in parts

The wave completely covers the land Mrs Roberts had been resting on as she is knocked off her feet. She was soaked but uninjured

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
