«Breaking News» Katy Perry sells four-bedroom Hollywood Hills mansion for a cool $9.4 million

Katy Perry has sold a Hollywood Hills mansion for an undisclosed sum, after having it on the market for about two-and-a-half years.

The 34-year-old songstress moved the palatial dwelling - which takes up nearly two-and-a-half acres at Runyon Canyon's peak - for $9.4 million to restaurateur Michael Chow, the founder of the Mr. Chow franchise and his younger new wife Vanessa Rano, according to Variety.

The Santa Barbara, California native initially put the 7,500 sq. foot home - which includes four bedrooms, four bathrooms and two half bathrooms - in September of 2017 for $9.5 million, and subsequently reduced the price to $8.95 million amid tepid feedback but it seemingly went back up in price.

The Roar singer initially purchased the home - part of the prestigious Outpost Estates - for $8.2 million from heiress Aileen Getty in April of 2013. 

The American Idol judge that month also plunked down $3 million to Getty for a small home adjacent to the main property; it was not immediately clear if it was linked to the latest purchase.

The central area of the residence is a Spanish-style abode with a stone courtyard, and an outdoor pool area that includes a spa, cabana, fireplace and pizza oven.

An adjacent guard house as well as a two-story home for guests sit separate from the main home.

California queen: The singer has amassed numerous high-end properties in the Southern California region 

Amenities include a large home gym and a garage long enough to park a limo.

The home, which sits adjacent to a hillside, includes an outdoor amphitheater and manicured gardens.

The I Kissed A Girl songstress in recent years has spent more home time at a separate $18 million five-bedroom home she bought in the Coldwater Canyon area of Beverly Hills in early 2017, according to the outlet. Last year, she plunked down another $7.5 million for another home in the nearby area.

The neighborhood is popular with celebs, as other famous faces who reside nearby include Jennifer Lawrence, Adele, and Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
