«Breaking News» Girlfriend REJECTS her boyfriend's proposal because it was 'in a hotel room' South East Asia

A woman has rejected her boyfriend's proposal because she didn't like the way he popped the question in their hotel room.

The would-be groom revealed how he planned their three-year anniversary by flying her to South East Asia before ending their trip with a marriage proposal.

But things didn't go as planned despite the girlfriend initially saying 'yes'.

Shortly after getting engaged in Cambodia, the woman returned the ring back to her newly engaged fiancee because she wanted a more thoughtful proposal.

'I decided to propose to my girl of three years on our three year anniversary. I flew her to Vietnam and after a couple of weeks travelling we ended up in Cambodia,' he said in a post on Reddit.

The romantic man said he had planned their itinerary around her bucket list, which included seeing temple Angkor Wat in Cambodia.

'After a long day of hiking in the heat through ruins we retired back to our hotel and when we were alone together I proposed and she said "yes",' he recalled.

'We kissed and I had planned to take her to the waterfall the next day to celebrate. It's really beautiful.

'She took a shower and I laid in bed thinking what an amazing day I just had and how I would get to spend the rest of my life with the women I loved.'

But the woman seemed to have a change of heart after she refused to accept the engagement ring.

'When she came out of the shower however she was in tears. She handed me back the ring saying she couldn't accept it because she didn't want her memory of my proposal to be in a hotel room,' he said.

'I played it cool and said I understood but truthfully it hurt. It seems to me that I had offered her something of value. A lifelong commitment and partner.

If she had found a million dollars in a dumpster she wouldn't throw it back because of where it came from

'I took her halfway around the world and helped her cross off something she had wanted to do most of her adult life. I felt that if she valued me it wouldn't matter that the proposal wasn't exactly what she wanted.

'It was me and our future together she was saying "yes" to and not my delivery. If she had found a million dollars in a dumpster she wouldn't throw it back because of where it came from.

'So she can't possibly value me or what I have to offer as an individual if she's willing to reject it because she didn't like the place I asked.'

The man said he's even contemplated breaking up with his girlfriend when they return home from their holiday.

'I'm preparing to end things when we get back,' he said.

'She wants me to propose again and better and then she'll say "yes", but I'm done. Am I wrong? Should I do it over?'

The man turned to the internet for advice - as many women revealed how their now-husbands also proposed to them in a hotel room.

'He proposed in our hotel room on Valentine's Day in Mexico while I was changing into my bathing suit. Sure I wish it was more romantic back then but now who cares. His intent was more important. I would have never made him redo it,' one said.

Another wrote: 'We were at a hotel for our four year anniversary and had just gotten out of the Jacuzzi. He was behind me and asked if I loved him. I turned around and rolled my eyes and said "of course" and he was on one knee. It. Was. Perfect.'

One commented: 'It's my birthday and he had to fly in to meet me at a hotel. His flight got really delayed so when he showed up, I was in my PJ. I was shocked that he chose to propose when I was in that state, but I said "yes".'

Another said: 'I actually love telling everyone how "bad" my husband's proposal was, haha. He had just spent half the night barfing in a hotel bathroom after a pretty bad case of motion sickness and food poisoning... the delicate aroma of stomach acid in the air. He thought was the ideal moment to pop the question.'

Other people also weighed in on what they thought about the man's proposal.

'If you really are breaking it off, propose again at a Walmart or McDonald's. Use a candy ring. Give her some perspective,' one suggested.

Another said: 'If someone really loves you, it doesn't actually matter where you propose.'

One commented: 'It is completely acceptable for your girlfriend to want a magical moment. However, you guys will have infinite amount of time for magical moments and beautiful pictures. For God's sake you're visiting a waterfall the next day. The fact that she returned it in TEARS I think is bad form. That tells me she thinks you did her dirty for proposing incorrectly. It at the very least is a red flag to me.'

And another wrote: 'You HAD a magical moment. Bucket list. Check. Flights. Check. Adventure. Check. Quiet hotel. Check. Romance. Check. The only thing you didn't have was fireworks. You did great... I'm sorry she didn't think it was enough.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
