Britain's Got Talent star Olivia Archbold, 23, leaves Manchester Crown Court today
A former Britain's Got Talent star tipped as the 'new Charlotte Church' wept as she walked free from a court today after she admitted helping her live-in boyfriend mastermind a cannabis trafficking racket using the dark web.
Singer Olivia Archbold, 23, broke up and sold the drugs in batches to a network of customers across the UK after 24-year old Alex Nash used Bitcoin to order cannabis online from Holland and America over a three year period.
Tetrahydrocannabinol cannabis oil or THC would be injected into chocolate bars and sweets before the drugs were posted around the country using encrypted messaging - making the couple and their friends up to £85,000 from the racket and up to £9,000 a month.
In a text message to Nash, Archbold said: 'Sometimes you have to do things in a relationship, you don't want to do them, but because your love of the person you'll do anything. I saw to your plants - I didn't want to do it but I love you.'
But police began investigating after two consignments of herbal cannabis were intercepted from the Netherlands which had been addressed to Archbold - once a pupil at an all girls' private school - at the couple's flat in central Manchester.
Officers later raided the flat in June 2017 after it emerged cannabis was also found growing in a box bedroom at the rented property whilst the landlord was showing round a prospective new tenant.
Manchester Crown Court heard Nash was the mastermind of the operation but Archbold was said to have played a 'significant role'.
Prosecutors said Archbold 'had an awareness and understanding' of the scale of what her boyfriend was doing.
She had made it to the semi finals of ITV's Britain's Got Talent in 2010 aged just 14 after she was praised by judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan
The singer laundered £51,000 in dirty money through her NatWest and Santander bank accounts.
She had made it to the semi finals of the ITV talent show in 2010 aged just 14 after she was praised by judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan for what they said was her 'utterly spellbinding' performance of In the Arms of Angels.
She received a standing ovation with her rendition of the Sarah McLachlan song, but missed a place in the final on the judge's vote.
She had previously trained in classical dance and performed with the English National Youth Ballet before appearing on stage in various productions.
Today, Archbold - whose family live in a £1million barn conversion in Newton-le-Willows, Merseyside, faced jail after she admitted production of cannabis, being concerned in the supply of the drug and possessing criminal property.

Nash admitted the same offences oplus a further charge of importing cannabis between March 2014 and June 2017.
Nash's younger brother Christian, 21, who still lives at his family's £1.9million mansion in Hale Barns, Greater Manchester, admitted fielding cannabis consignments at Newcastle University where is a student.
Alex Nash's best friend Jordan May, 25 from Bredbury, Stockport, admitted being concerned in the supply of cannabis and possessing criminal property.
Prosecutor Rob Hall said: 'The operation took place over a three year period.
'Alex Nash was using a many different cyber identities which were reported, anonymous and encrypted on the dark web. Alex Nash used the bitcoins available to him for those cannabis transactions.

'Through sophisticated and untraceable transactions, he submitted orders for cannabis which was imported from outside the UK, namely the Netherlands and the Unites States of America.
'The team of Alex Nash, Olivia Archbold and Jordan May broke up the imported cannabis into smaller amounts and sold it in the UK to customers using anonymous and encrypted messaging, on the dark web. Even smaller consignments were posted to those other UK customers using the Royal Mail.
'The importation of the ingredient THC was injected into confectionary such as chocolate bars and lollipops and they grew different plants for onward sale. They made a tidy profit.'
Mr Hall added: 'Bitcoin was converted to pound sterling by Alex Nash with huge bank transfers through to the account of Archbold and May who would then go quickly and withdraw the amount from a nearby cash point or ATM.
'At their peak, they withdrew £3,480 in one transaction in one day, and £8,850 in one month.
'Alex Nash played a leading role in the operation, namely the organising, buying of the cannabis and importation of the cannabis, as well as selling of the cannabis on a commercial supply. He had influence over others in the supply chain, namely Olivia Archbold and Jordan May.
'Olivia Archbold was the cohabiting girlfriend of Alex Nash. She played a significant role in the operation, she had an awareness and understanding of the scale of the operation and the operational function, the money laundered through her account and the use of her name in the receiving of consignments of cannabis.'
Inquiries revealed Nash had been in receipt of £83,000 whilst Archbold laundered £51,000.
During the police search of their home, officers found cannabis worth £74,000 plus £3,430 in cash and 8,660 plastic 'snap' bags, of which 2,800 were empty.
The hearing continues.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
