«Breaking News» Ben Stiller mocks college scandal by saying his daughter got into Yale on a football scholarship

Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin are currently in hot water over the Varsity Blues college admissions scandal.

But Ben Stiller couldn't help but poke fun at the high-profile higher education scam while making a stop by Ellen for Friday's show.

Talking about daughter Ella, the 63-year-old actor/director said: 'She's going to go to Yale on a football scholarship... And she's going to major in Photoshopping.'

Ben was slyly referencing how some of the scam admissions went as far as photoshopping the faces of applicants onto athlete's bodies in order to get them spots on university sports teams.

It turns out he and his 16-year-old daughter were actually in town to visit colleges.

While the Zoolander actor admitted the college process puts 'crazy pressure' on both students and parents, he said there's no excuse to cheat the system.

'No. It’s a crazy time…look, there’s crazy pressure that the kids go through and the parents go through, but you gotta draw the line,' Ben said.

Daughter Ella is hoping to join the family business of acting. (The budding talent's mother is thespian Christine Taylor, and her paternal grandparents Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara are both comic legends.)

Ben said his eldest certainly has what it takes to be in the industry.

'She loves it and she's very passionate about it and she knows what she wants to do,' he explained.

Knew all along: 'I knew when I was 10, or 11 years old that I wanted to direct movies and eventually act too'

And Stiller admitted he was set on his dreams of acting early on as well.

'I knew when I was 10, or 11 years old that I wanted to direct movies and eventually act too.'

'But I think it's a crazy business... So I just want to kind of support her in any way possible... legally.'

Actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin took a different approach, however.

The entertainers were just two of the some 50 wealthy parents who are accused of conspiring with high-priced college admissions consultants in order to secure university spots for their children.

Huffman allegedly paid $15k to inflate her daughter's SAT scores. She is currently out on $250k bond and appeared at an LA court on Friday.

And Loughlin, along with fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli, is said to have paid half-a-million dollars to get her daughters Olivia and Bella into USC as crew recruits, with no intention to ever compete with the team. Both Loughlin and Giannulli are currently released on $1million bond.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
