A man who has been paralyzed from the waist down for the last 13 years completed 17.2 miles of the Los Angeles Marathon with the help of a $95,000 exoskeleton.
Beginning on Friday night, Adam Gorlitsky began a 19-hour journey in the area surrounding Dodger Stadium, according to TMZ. Traffic and hills proved to be a major obstacle him, but Gorlitsky was able to navigate the terrain while his weight was distributed between his state-of-the-art exoskeleton and his hand crutches.
Gorlitsky competed as part of the 'ReEnabled Division,' which was created with the help of his foundation, I Got Legs, a non-profit that helps people overcome physical challenges with the help of a variety of programs and grants.

He began the race with a tight-knit group of friends and helpers, some of whom helped him keep his balance. But by the time Gorlitsky finished, he was surrounded by a larger group of people, who were seemingly inspired by his journey and offered their support.
Wearing his 'I Got Legs' shirt, Gorlitsky fell short of his goal to walk the entire 26.2-mile course, which he estimated would take 36 hours. However, he has vowed to continue working towards becoming the first paralyzed person to complete a full marathon on U.S. soil.
Gorlitsky has been competing in shorter races – 5Ks, 10Ks, and half marathons – since he first got his exoskeleton three years ago.
He lost the ability to walk after a major car accident in 2005, but Gorlitsky spent the ensuing years finding ways to strengthen his body.
'I don't feel disabled, but I don't feel able-bodied,' Gorlitsky said. 'I feel what I call re-enabled and all that means is what it feels to be empowered.
'It's an incredible feeling being out at the same height as everybody,' he said. 'We're all going toward that same finish line, it's the greatest feeling in the world.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
