Khloe Kardashian has come under fire online for her 'tone deaf' response to a fan who admitted she has to work 20 hours in order to afford a single pair of the reality star's Good American jeans.
The backlash came after the 34-year-old responded to a tweet from a fan, who revealed that she was going to have to work a staggering 20 hours at her job just to afford a single pair of jeans from Khloe's popular brand - which was launched in 2017, and which aims to promote body positivity with a diverse size range.
'So I realized I have to work 20 hours in order to afford @khloekardashian jeans...and I’m in love with them...catch me picking up extra shifts,' the fan wrote in a sweet tweet praising the brand, two which Khloe replied: 'Awwwwww this is so cute!!!! I’m so happy you enjoy them.'

But many fans on Twitter thought Khloe missed the entire point of the tweet, with many expressing that the denim was too expensive for working people to purchase, while others pointed out the seemingly-patronizing tone of Khloe's reply.
'Sick. She doesn’t even realize how tone deaf this is bc she’s been rich her whole life lol. “Being poor is so cute! lol,"' one upset person wrote after seeing Khloe's response to her fan.
Another person commented: 'It's cute that she has to work 20 hrs to afford one pair of jeans??? Yikes.'
The reality star turned businesswoman launched Good American in 2017 with the promise that the denim brand would promote inclusivity by offering sizes ranging from a size 0 to size 24. But despite the impressive size range, the clothing still costs a pretty penny, with the jeans priced between $99 and $189, depending on the style.
And many of Khloe's fans thought the response from the reality star regarding the pricing showed just how 'out of touch from reality' the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is to not understand the steps people go through to afford one pair of jeans.
'Khloe I think it's nice she likes your jeans but picking up extra shifts to be able to afford them isn't cute,' one fan responded. 'You should send her a whole box for even wanting to do that.'

Although the response from Khloe received over a thousand comments with people disappointed in how 'tone deaf' she appeared to wealth, the reality star has not responded to any of the criticism.
The main point people were referencing was that Khloe thought it was 'cute' someone would need to budget and work overtime to afford something.

Khloe, who is worth an estimated 40 million according to Bankrate, cannot relate to the same money problems.
'Not to sound like a hater but this actually upsets me,' one commenter expressed.
'Someone had to work a stupid amount of hours to afford ONE pair of jeans. A millionaire thinks it's "cute" that ppl have to calculate [and] think how many hours they have to work to afford little things.'
Another person responded with the infamous picture of Paris Hilton wearing a shirt that reads, 'Stop being poor.' The tweet joked Khloe's response was similar to when Paris decided to wear the shirt.
Criticism only continued for Khloe over her response to a fan's praise for the brand.
'Sis noooo what do those jeans do that you gotta work twice as much to afford them?' One fan questioned.
The quality of the jeans could lead to why the pants are priced high than other options on the market. But people wanted Khloe to consider lowering the price to make them more affordable for everyone.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
