«Breaking News» Keith Flint thrills fans in The Prodigy's final performance

The last ever images of The Prodigy frontman Keith Flint have emerged, hours after news of his death was broken on Monday morning.

The images - captured on video in Aukland, New Zealand - see the musician, who died at his Essex home aged 49, on stage performing with his band for what would be the last ever time.

The haunting photographs were captured last month and portray Flint belting out a tune to an adoring crowd, dressed in his typically 'punk' style.

The lights hit the star's face eerily, against a smokey backdrop, with his bandmates behind him on stage.

The band were booked to play in Bogota next month, before hitting the road in the US for the month of May.

Following this, they were set to tour European festivals over the Summer months.

But Flint was discovered unconscious at his property near Dunmow, Essex at around 8AM on Monday morning, after police were called over what they described as 'concerns for his welfare'.

Paramedics attempted to resuscitate him but he was pronounced dead at the scene.  It has since been suggested by Prodigy band member Liam Howlett that the star 'took his own life'.

'The news is true, I can't believe I'm saying this but our brother Keith took his own life over the weekend. I'm shell shocked , f***** angry, confused and heart broken..... r.i.p brother,' read Liam's Instagram post.

The group's tour was in support of their seventh studio album No Tourists, which was released last November.

The latest release is a follow-up to their 2015 album The Day Is My Enemy.

On Monday, an Essex Police spokesperson said: 'We were called to concerns for the welfare of a man at an address in Brook Hill, North End, just after 8.10am on Monday

'We attended and, sadly, a 49-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
