«Breaking News» UCLA soccer coach resigns after he was accused of taking $100,000 to get a developer’s daughter in

The soccer coach from UCLA who is said to have taken a $100,000 kickback to get a developer's daughter into the school resigned on Thursday. 

Jorge Salcedo was said to have taken the bribe to get Lauren Isackson on the women's soccer team roster. 

Shana Wilson, a spokeswoman for the school's athletic department, informed the New York Post of Salcedo's resignation. He had been a coach on the men's soccer team for 15 seasons.

Isackson was given jersey No. 41 in 2017 on a team of all star players and required to stay on the side for at least one year. She was tapped to be a midfielder on the team.

Prosecutors say her parents, Davina, 55, and Bruce, 61, the president of a real estate development firm, spent more than $600,000 to get Lauren and her sister into UCLA and USC with fake athletic credentials. 

Prosecutors say she did not even play competitive soccer - for a team or in a league - before joining UCLA.

Salcedo is said to have taken another $100,000 check from scandal mastermind Rick Singer for the son of another one of his clients. 

That student also had not played competitive soccer but was admitted to UCLA after he was recruited to the men's soccer team, the Los Angeles Times reports.   

Salcedo started as the team's ball boy before winning three national championships as a players in the 1990s. 

Throughout 2006 and 2014, Salcedo helped UCLA get to 14 NCAA tournaments and national championships.  

UCLA is investigating the allegations facing the soccer programs at the school.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
