Selma Blair opened the doors of her Los Angeles home to Architectural Digest for its latest celebrity feature.

The 46-year-old lives in a 1950s Cape Cod–style home nestled in the hills near the Studio City neighborhood.

Selma bought the four-bedroom home five years ago and worked with her interior designer pal Bryan Wark on injecting bold color into each room.

'Before, it was just a very traditional house, and it was perfectly fine. But I always felt the character was missing,' Selma told AD.

The actress also wanted to bring some of the East Coast preppy feel of her Michigan boarding school into the decor.

'When we added the bold color in these little spaces, it came alive,' Selma explained. 'Now the whole house has a sense of humor, and it gives me some vitality.'

'I love my funny little house,' The Legally Blonde star told the magazine, explaining that she kept the rooms walled, going against the trend for open plan spaces.

Selma said she was also inspired by her late friend Carrie Fisher.

'She lived in a house that had this kind of beloved clutter that told a story everywhere you went,'

Meanwhile, a new still has been released for Selma Blair's new drama, After, also starring Josephine Langford.

The storyline revolves around a college student who falls for a dark and mysterious rebel during her first semester.

The image shows Tessa Young (Langford) saying her last goodbye to her mother Carol (Blair) before leaving for college.

'Selma Blair as Carol is my teenage dreams coming true, because I loved Cruel Intentions. Selma and Jo not only look alike, their spirits are the same. I honestly feel like every single person in the cast is exactly who they should be, even if they are these huge movie stars,' said author Anna Todd.

The movie, directed by Jenny Gage, hits theaters on April 12.

Selma recently revealed she's been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and has been openly sharing her experience on social media.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
