«Breaking News» Russel Westbrook tells a Utah Jazz fan he is going to f*** him and his wife up after racist comment

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russel Westbrook appeared to argue with fans of the Utah Jazz during Monday night's game.

Westbrook seemed to lose his cool in front of Jazz fans at Vivint Smart Home Arena and was recorded threatening a couple of Jazz fans during the course of the game.

'I promise you. You think I'm playing? I swear to God. I swear to God. I'll f*** you up. You and your wife. I'll f*** you up. ... I promise you. [On] everything I love -- everything I love - I promise you,' the player was heard saying to them.

Westbrook made the comments from the bench while the fan was escorted out of the arena.

Shane Keisel, the Jazz fan who was involved in a verbal altercation later spoke with KSL-TVand claimed that he could not understand what the argument was about.

'He was smiling at one point and He was f-boming and acting the fool. I told him and relax your knees bro. I never said a swear word to him. Never ever said a single swear word to him, not one,' Keisel said.

'Westbrook is one of the greats, but he is also classless too!' he continued.

After the game was over Westbrook was able to tell his side of the story to ESPN.

He said that his outburst on the court came after he had heard comments from Keisel that were racist.

'It started with a young man with his wife in the stands and he shouted out "Why don't you get down on your knees like you used to?" - and for me that is just completely disrespectful to me.

'I think its racial and I think its just inappropriate in a sense that there is no protection for the players. I think there are a lot of great fans around the work but there are people that come to the game to say mean disrespectful things things about me and my family,' Westbrook said.

He later told ESPN that the insults were 'racial' and that he felt disrespected

'I've never done anything to hurt or harm anybody. I've never been in any trouble. I've never fought a fan, clean slate, humble, I take whatever. I've been doing the same thing for years. But for me, disrespect will not be taken from me', he continued.

'That's just one video but it goes on throughout the whole game. Especially here in Utah there is a lot of disrespect and for me I am not going to continue to take the disrespect for my family.'

Five Jazz fans were given 'warning cards' because their actions supposedly violated the NBA Fan Code of Conduct.

It appears that the tension between Westbrook and Jazz fans had been bubbling for some time and were on display during the NBA playoffs last year.

After Game 6 of the Thunder's first-round playoff where they lost to the Jazz, Westbrook was seen taking a swipe a fan's phone as he exited the court.

'I don't confront fans, fans confront me,' Westbrook said after that game to USA Today. 'Here in Utah, man, a lot of disrespectful, vulgar things are said to the players here with these fans. It's truly disrespectful. They talk about your families, your kids. It's just a disrespect to the game and I think it's something that needs to be brought up.

'I'm tired of just going out and playing and letting fans say what the hell they want to say. I'm not with that. If I was on the street, they wouldn't just come up to me and say anything crazy, because I don't play that s***.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
