You star Penn Badgley was spotted early this week filming a scene for the series, in which he plays a stalker.

His character Joe Goldberg had clearly injured himself - Penn, 32, could be glimpsed wearing a prosthetic wounded finger.

The Gossip Girl hunk went for triple blue, layering a denim jacket over his dark flannel shirt and accessorizing with a navy baseball cap.

Based on the teen book series by Cecily Von Ziegesar, Gossip Girl starred Penn throughout its 2007-2012 run opposite Blake Lively and Leighton Meester. 

You began on Lifetime last year and sees Joe become maniacally fixated on would-be writer Guinevere, played by Dead Of Summer vet Elizabeth Lail. 

Although Lifetime renewed the show for a second season before the first began airing, the network changed its mind and the series wound up with Netflix.

'This just feels like a really great story to tell with the Netflix model. It was always built to be extremely binge-able,' co-creator Sera Gamble assured Vulture in December.

Penn told GQ more warily in a profile this year: 'It all comes and goes. Inherent in bingeing is purging. The second part, nobody talks about.'

Child star Millie Bobby Brown said on her Insta Stories a couple of months ago that Joe was 'not creepy - he’s in love with her and it’s okay.'

After social media commentators began dragging the 15-year-old for her opinion of the television show, she issued an Insta Stories clarification.

Millie shared that when she made her initial remarks, 'I was on episode two,' and allowed to her fans that 'I guess I gathered an analysis too quickly.'

By the time of her clarification she had 'just watched episode 10 - most definitely is a stalker, but it was a really good show so I'm really excited for season two.'

The English actress, who rose to fame on the Netflix sci-fi show Stranger Things set in the 1980s, added: 'My bad if I upset anyone.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
