«Breaking News» Mama June: From Not To Hot: Pumpkin thanks fans for 'love and support' amid 'rough patch'

Mama June's reality TV show tackled her drug arrest on Friday's episode while also capturing early cracks in her relationship with boyfriend Geno Doak.

The latest episode of Mama June - From Not to Hot started with a WE tv raising 'concerns' over the 39-year-old's arrest last week – insisting it was 'monitoring events,' suggesting the show's future could still be at risk.

Mama June's daughter Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Shannon, 19, then thanked fans for 'loving and supporting' the family during its high-profile 'rough patch.'

She also admitted concerns over her mother – both 'physically' and with her relationship with Geno – started at least six months before the arrest, which was sparked by 911 calls from witnesses to an alleged fight at a gas station.

Saying they had treated Geno as a 'father figure,' Pumpkin admitted: 'All that was about to change forever.'

The episode, filmed last October, showed those cracks emerging as Mama June, real name June Shannon, told Geno, 42, she thought she was pregnant – with him having to run from the room to throw up.

'Come on, man – no,' he pleaded as she told him the news with a smirk. 'How does it happen, man?'

He begged her to stop joking as she deadpanned: 'Very easily. Your little friends swim up my river and made a home...'

'I feel like I'm gonna throw up, dude,' he told her, looking clearly anguished and telling her his 'foot is shaking and s**t.'

'Hell no, I'm fixin' to throw up. I'm for real about to throw up, dude,' he said, running to the bathroom and begging cameras not to follow.

June already knew her man was against the idea of having children, with him making that vocal as a young played near them in an ice cream shop.

'I don't know how he's going to handle the fact that I'm pregnant,' she had said of her scare. 'He might just up and leave.'

But she still seemed shocked at just how badly he took the news, saying: 'This definitely wasn't the reaction I was looking for. I don't know the next step in our relationship and where it's going right now.'

Geno also made snide comments about his girlfriend, saying of his reason not to want a baby: 'June whines and cries – we don't need any more kids.'

Then when her daughter Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson, 13, accused her mom of 'ruining everything' by making them leave L.A. to return home, Geno snapped: 'Not everything. Just most of it.'

So sensitive: 'Come on, man – no,' he pleaded as she told him the news with a smirk, and he asked hypothetically: 'How does it happen, man?'

The couple's arrest in Alabama last Wednesday started with 911 calls from witnesses to an alleged fight between June and Geno at a gas station.

Doak was arrested for domestic violence/harassment, felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

June was later charged on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia over crack cocaine.

WE tv addressed the arrests from the start, with a message which was also repeated later in the show.

'We share our viewers' concerns for June Shannon and her entire family,' the message stated.

'We are monitoring events as they occur and are focused, as always, on the entire family's well-being,' the statement added.

Her daughter Pumpkin then stared straight at the camera as she also addressed the scandal.

'Hey guys, as you know – you've seen the stuff out in the media – our family is going through a rough patch,' she said.

'But this year alone we've had a lot of happiness. And when Mama and Alana were out in California everything seemed good,' she insisted, referring to the initial scenes as Alana starred in Dancing With The Stars Juniors.

'Then the next couple of months roll around and things took a turn.

'We're sharing our story in the hope it helps another family. And I sincerely wanna thank our fans for always being there and loving and supporting us,' she said.

She reappeared with another message after an ad break – this time admitting her aunt, June's sister Doe Doe, had been first to raise concerns.

'Six months ago, when Mama was out in California, Doe Doe had told me, she was like, "I think something's going on,"' Pumpkin recalled.

'Not only physically with Mama's health but something was wrong with her and Geno.

'Geno has always been a father figure to me and Alana and that is how we've looked at him, and we really care for Geno.

'But all that was about to change forever.'

Previous episodes showed Geno giving June a promise ring – clearly upsetting her that it was not an engagement one.

She readily admitted: 'I don't know how he's gonna take this pregnancy news so I'm gonna play my cards right and turn this promise ring into a wedding ring.'

However, the episode was quick to suggest that June had it all wrong, with weight gain and stomach problems potentially due to overeating.

She also admitted: 'I've been pregnant four times already and I've never had morning sickness this early. I know something's off.'

The episode caught them in L.A., starting with Alana's disappointment a getting kicked off DWTS Juniors.

The teen was shown with sunglasses and a black scarf over her head as she spoke of her 'dreams crushed on national television' and how she 'ugly-face cried' in front of crush, dance partner Tristan Ianiero.

Her mood soon lifted with an audition for a movie about two teens switching bodies, getting told she did 'pretty amazing' for a first timer.

'I really wanna get this part just to show people that you can do what you want being your big, bad, beautiful self,' she said. 'Hollywood you better hold onto your seats because Honey Boo Boo's coming for ya.'

When she complained about having to leave L.A., her mom promised: 'If you get the part I promise we'll fly back out.'

Pumpkin, meanwhile, vowed to keep her baby daughter Ella away from the cameras – despite her heavily featured in the show.

She complained about what sister Honey Boo Boo went through by starting on shows at six, saying: 'Alana didn't get to enjoy our childhood.

'After a while it gets old. Everybody's looking at what you post. When you go out in public there's a chance that paparazzi's gonna catch you looking like a fool. I don't want Ella to have to worry about that.'

Her husband Josh readily agreed when she said: 'Let's never put Ella through that.'

But he quickly changed his tune when a child talent scout approached him in a store and promised $20,000-a-day modeling jobs.

He later admitted, however, that he was paying $500-a-month to try to get those gigs – with family friend Michael 'Big Mike' Mclarty asking: 'How stupid are you? You didn't feel a big scam-alert tattoo across your a**?

'My advice to you: When you break the news to Pumpkin, do it in a public place, man, where there's witnesses.'

'Apparently, I'm a grade A dumbass,' Josh admitted.

'If Pumpkin's not gonna kill me for going behind her back, she's definitely gonna kill me for getting scammed.'

Sugar Bear's new wife Jennifer Lamb, meanwhile, saw Dr Curves, the plastic surgeon who helped June, to deal with loose skin following her 170-pound weight loss from gastric bypass surgery.

She was shown stripping down to a swimsuit, with Sugar Bear gushing over her arms being his pillows – and how he wanted the fat from her arms moved to her breasts to be his new pillows.

'I'm gonna make you real happy,' Dr Curves told Sugar Bear, telling him to be 'seriously ready for this smoking-hot wife.'

Jennifer was angered by suggestions she was copying June's own weight-loss journey with surgery – but somehow managed to get the star's manager, Gina Rodriguez, to hook her up with Dr Curves.

'I've had a hard time booking June anymore,' Gina complained.

'She doesn't care about her weight anymore, she's not sticking to the brand – she's eating whatever she wants.

'So maybe Jennifer looking better than her might be just the kick in the a** that June needs to get back on track.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
