«Breaking News» Kim Kardashian's ex-husband Kris Humphries says 'relationship was 100% real'

And despite heavy criticism surrounding their union, Kris Humphries revealed that his marriage to Kim Kardashian was '100% real' during an interview with The Players' Tribune. 

The 34-year-old former professional basketball player said that he was 'naive' about how much his life would change while dating the reality star, before admitting he spent about one year in 'a dark place' after their relationship dissolved.

'Look, I should have known what I was getting into. I was definitely naive about how much my life was going to change,' he said. But the one thing that really bothers me is whenever people say that my marriage was fake.'

The couple began dating in October 2010 before an engagement in May 2011 which was featured on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. 

'There’s definitely a lot about that world that is not entirely real. But our actual relationship was 100% real,' he said. 'When it was clear that it wasn’t working … what can I say? It sucked.'

Their wedding on August 20, 2011 was well-attended by 450 guests and cost approximately $10million, but their relationship began to sour and by October, Kim filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.

'It’s never easy to go through the embarrassment of something like that — with your friends, with your family …. But when it plays out so publicly, in front of the world, it’s a whole other level. It was brutal,' Humphries said.

The former New Jersey Nets power forward 'didn't know how' to handle the publicity following their split. 

'I remember having this moment when I was getting booed so hard in Philly, and I thought to myself, "Why exactly are they booing me, though? Is it just because I’m That Guy from TV? Do they think I was trying to be famous? Is it because they think I disrespected the game of basketball?"' he said. 'The last one killed me, because all I’ve ever wanted to be known for was basketball.'

Humphries said he 'didn't want to be' himself and grew sick of defending his name as he battled against criticism.

'I’ll be honest, I dealt with a lot of anxiety, especially in crowds,' he admitted. 'There was about a year where I was in a dark place. I didn’t want to leave my home.'   

While Kris and Kim split in October 2011, they faced a lengthy legal battle and finally reached a divorce settlement on June 3, 2013.

She has since gone on to marry Kanye West and the couple is expecting their fourth child together via surrogate.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
