«Breaking News» Jake Quickenden claims he was 'turned away' from Covent Garden restaurant by 'posh' staff

Jake Quickenden has claimed he was turned away from the Petersham Nurseries restaurant in Covent Garden and described the treatment he received as 'disgusting'.

The former X Factor star, 30, took to his Instagram stories to tell followers he went to the popular venue after running in the London Landmarks Half Marathon and was allegedly turned away at the door.

He said: 'Just tried to go to the Petersham Nurseries for some food [in] Covent Garden and they turned us away.

'They looked me up and down and went, "no, we're full". There was tables everywhere. There [were] tables outside.'

Jake then went on to describe the women at the front of the restaurant as 'posh' and 'rich' and advised his followers not to eat there. 

He said: 'The two ladies on the front, typical posh, rich, looked down their noses at us. Please never ever go to the Petersham Nurseries. Disgusting.'

MailOnline has contacted a representative for the Petersham Nurseries for comment and a representative for Jake for further comment.

Jake ran the half marathon on Saturday alongside several of his TV pals including Love Island's Eyal Booker, former Ex On The Beach star Jess Impiazzi and Liberty X's Michelle Heaton. 

The TV star shared a shirtless snap after he had completed his run.

He wrote: 'Completed it in 1.52, raised money for cancer research so happy....met some amazing people!!! Well done.'

Jake also spent time with his other half Sophie Church after the marathon and shared a clip of the pair walking together after he had completed the run.

Sophie previously appeared on Celebs Go Dating where she went out with Eyal.  

The Essex-born beauty had caught the eye of both Eyal and Alik Alfus - but when Alik asked her out, she declined him in front of everyone because she wanted to date Eyal.

As the fellow daters looked at her in shock, she protested: 'I feel horrible but I am just going to be honest. I feel like I am going to cry. He's a really nice guy but Eyal is more my type.'

But in a twist, Eyal then decided not to ask out Sophie and picked a new date - leaving the brunette aghast with horror.

A source previously told The Sun things were going well between the pair.

They said: 'Sophie has definitely caught his eye; they've been spending quality time together and Jake loves the fact she isn't in the celebrity world'.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
