Former New York basketball phenomenon Sebastian Telfair appeared in court Tuesday on weapons and drug possession charges.
The 33-year-old appeared with Jami Thomas, 19, at Brooklyn Supreme Court stemming from a June 2017 incident where they were caught on a Sunday morning with a trunk full of contraband.
Officers discovered two bags of marijuana and a gun collection including three pistols, a gas-operated submachine gun, extended magazines, ammunition and the ballistic vest.

Outside of the courtroom he covered the handkerchief-embellishment ensemble with a more casual long suit, featuring black-and-white patches.
Meanwhile, Thomas wore a colorful checked shirt and the teenager wore his hair in a high bun for the court appearance.

Telfair was pulled over driving through the Brooklyn neighborhood in a Ford F-150 pickup truck because the headlights were not turned on.
Just before the incident, the pair drew the offices' attention parked illegally on a median on Atlantic Avenue near Classon Street.
When first pulled over, police smelled what they believed to be marijuana before spotting a burning joint inside the truck, according to the Post.

Police then asked Telfair and Thomas to step outside the vehicle and put them under arrest before conducting a more thorough search of the car.
Telfair was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, aggravated unlicensed operator of a motor vehicle and a motor vehicle equipment violation, according to police.

Telfair, a Brooklyn native, was once one of the most highly-prized players in the county during his years playing at Lincoln High School.
He chose to skip out on college, instead making a direct leap to the NBA in 2004, reported the Post. He was drafted 13th overall by the Portland Trail Blazers, and played for eight different teams during his 12-year career.
The talented point guard eventually fizzled out though, and recently made the leap to China.
The arrest is not the fist time Telfair has had run-ins with law enforcement. In 2007 he was arrested on a gun charge during another routine traffic stop when speeding on the Bronx River Parkway with a suspended license.
That time, officers found a .45 caliber handgun under the passenger seat of the vehicle he was driving, reported the Post.
He pleaded guilty a year later and got three years of probation.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
