Chilling surveillance footage captured a brazen burglar creeping around a sleeping baby's nursery after breaking into an apartment in the Bronx on Friday.
The suspected intruder was caught on camera rifling around the two-month-old's bedroom before he was reportedly scared off by a noise.
The New York Police Department said the man was scared off by the sound of the child's 32-year-old father in another room, before escaping through a window and breaking into another apartment in the same building just minutes later.
Police released the video and are asking anyone who may have information about the man's identity to contact NYPD Crimestoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
NYPD said the incident occurred shortly after 8pm on Friday in the Riverdale neighborhood of the Bronx.
The suspected burglar entered by way of the fire escape.
The man can be seen in the video searching throughout the entire room where the child is sleeping.

The video doesn't appear to show the suspect taking any interest in the child, and instead searching around the room for something.
He then leaves after a few minutes, after police said he heard the baby's father.
Police said the child was not injured, and slept through the entire incident.
About five minutes later, police said the man entered another apartment in the same building, but on a different floor.

The man reportedly stole that woman's jewelry, a bicycle and a backpack, police said.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
