But that didn't stop Carol Vorderman, 58, in bringing the glamour to the star-studded Champion Day of the 2019 Cheltenham Festival at Cheltenham Racecourse on Tuesday.

The TV presenter commanded attention as she showcased her enviable hourglass physique in a dark forest green midi-dress and faux-fir white jacket.

Despite the grim weather, Carol looked in high spirits as she propped an umbrella over her head while strutting along in a pair of t-strap black heels.

Known for her sensational curves, the former Countdown presenter slipped into the figure-hugging dress.

She kept the extreme chill at bay in the stylish white number, which was lined with faux fur down the centre and pulled in together with a single button.

Carol Vorderman invested in a few figure-hugging dresses by Roland Mouret and Victoria Beckham years ago, and she's still wearing them now. It just goes to show that it's worth investing a bit more in a classic designer piece that will never go out of style!

The forest green dress she chose for the Cheltenham Festival today is from Roland Mouret's Pre-Autumn/Winter 2008 collection, and it looks just as good ten years on. We love the keyhole neckline, long sleeves and asymmetric hemline. But as with any RM design, it's really all about the flawless fit.

You'll have to do some vintage shopping if you're determined to track down this exact style, but if you fancy copying Carol in just a couple of clicks, check out the lookalike pencil dresses in our edit below.

Staying true to her fashionista credentials, Carol tamed her sleek blonde tresses in place with a chic fedora hat.

Carol toted all of her belongings in a boxy grey handbag as she proved undeterred by the weather in a bid to enjoy her day.

While the TV star recently revealed that her 50s have been the best decade of her life, she admitted it hasn't been without hardship, and reflected on her struggles with depression as a result of hormones fluctuating during the menopause.

'I went through the year 2015 and I started feeling really low,' she explained on Loose Women. 'I found it became so low it was like a physical pain, it felt like genuine depression. At times I would think about how I could stop that feeling.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
