A Canadian man has broken the world record for the largest snow maze on Earth - with the help of 300 semi-trucks and just over 4000 tonnes of man-made powder.
Clint Masse's incredible creation measured in at a staggering 2,789.114 square meters when the Guinness World Records visited Manitoba, in Canada last month. It eclipsed the previous record by over 1000 sq ft.
Masse has been crafting corn mazes on his farm in St. Adolphe for two decades, but after a difficult harvest last year, the father of two came up with a unorthodox idea to turn his family's fortunes around.
'In October 2018, we had some of the worst weather we've ever had,' Masse told Dailymail.com. 'Then one of our staff showed us the current Guinness World Record for a snow maze, and we thought about it and said: "You know, it's going to be a tonne of work - but it's doable."'
Measuring at an impressive 2,789.114 square meters, Clint Masse's snow maze officially became the biggest in the world
Clint Masse (pictured) says he was driven by his inner-child to become a world-record holder, having spent much of his childhood reading Guinness' books
The maze was first measured on February 10, but the results were announced on Guinness' website on Tueday
The then-record holder, weighing in at 1,696 square meters, was located at the Fort William Historical Park in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
But having spent much of his younger years reading the Guinness Book of Records, Masse says he was determined to etch his name among this year's world-beaters.
Using a snow machine and snow blower, Masse and a team of 12 workers labored relentlessly in freezing temperatures for three weeks to make enough man-made snow to construct the mammoth maze - believed to be over 4000 tonnes worth.
Costing a staggering $57,000 CAD ($42,676) in total costs - including labor, paying for trucks to move the snow and fuel - the final result was a maze with walls that are six-and-a-half feet tall, and two feet thick.
The tricky course, which will take around 30-40 minutes to complete, also has statues inside and fire pits to keep dwellers warm.
Despite bracing temperatures of less than -30 in Canada, Masse says the attraction has proved incredibly popular since it's opening last month.
He believes they're on course to welcome their 15,000th visitor this week.
The idea to create an ice maze followed one of the worst harvests the Masse family has experienced at the farm, having suffered from freak weather conditions last October
Clint said he's impressed how closely they were able to stick to the original 3D design of the maze (pictured)
Using a snow machine and blower, Masse made 4000 tonnes of artificial snow
Despite plummeting temperatures in Canada, nearly 15,000 people have already come to visit the maze
'As a small kid growing up, I loved reading Guinness World Record books - so let's just say the kid in me hijacked my adult self,' Masse said.
'There is one major difference [between building a corn maze and a snow maze]. With the Corn Maze you just design where the pathways go and and then you mow them into place.
'With a snow maze you have to design where the walls are going to go to make your path go where you want. A subtle difference to the average onlooker, but 10 times the work.'
Before turning his hand to snow labyrinths, Masse says his most expensive corn venture cost a mere $5,000 in comparison.
But he insists the investment has certainly paid off, having already made back his labor costs and immortalized his name in Guinness Records history.
'We are truly over the moon with the response,' Masse said.
'Yesterday morning was a huge deal when we received the "CONGRATULATIONS" from Guinness - we actually did it.
'The Snow Maze is here to stay. It was great fun to build and your creative options are endless.
'Local Manitobians are loving it. We even had one couple that drove from Pennsylvania to come and see it.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
