'The scariest s**t just happened on this cruise,' said user @GVelez. 'Chairs, tables, glass, people went flying to one side of the ship @CruiseNorwegian.'

AJ Black stated: 'Honestly, @CruiseNorwegian, the gust of wind that threw all of the shattered glass all over my bed and floor is all on mother nature, but where my pro-rated premium plus discount for all the bottled water I was going to drink tonight? #norwegianescape #nclescape.'

'The @CruiseNorwegian Escape was hit be a 100+ knot gust last night,' said Patterson. 'The ship tilted and damage was everywhere. Crazy!'

Patterson explained that he, his boyfriend and his boyfriend's family had been enjoying the dueling pianos when the ship began tilting.

'It was a little rocky from the storm but the ship started tilting to the side,' he explained to the Dailymail.com.

'My boyfriend worked for Norwegian a couple of years ago so we could tell that something was wrong.'

Patterson says he, his boyfriend and his boyfriend's brother huddled up into formation around the boyfriend's parents and worked to get them to safety.

He knew to get to the middle of the ship and worked with the family to get the in approximately 45 seconds.

'It was like walking up a huge incline, 10 minutes of this tilting and it was only really two minutes' he added. 'I didn't know what was happening. You would look out of one window and see water and waves straight down. You would look through the other side and just see rain.'

Patterson and the family maneuvered around tables, chairs and broken glasses and had to dodge artwork that 'was coming off the walls.'

His group escaped the chaos, unscathed, but Patterson needed to walk and clear his anxiety.

'There were people bleeding on the carpet from their feet, having panic attacks and crying as people tried to calm them down,' said Patterson.

He continued: 'There were people on stretchers being brought in from the staff. We even saw people fall over but we had been in survival mode.'

Patterson did share that he was thankful for the staff's response, adding that even performers rushed to assist anyone who needed help.

'Cruise Director Alvin was right in the center of the ship keeping everything calm and organized,' he added. 'And there was no damages.'

The makeup artist did share his concern for people who could have fallen overboard, adding that there were several calls for people to return to their rooms.

He said: They can't really do a roll call. I'm hoping no one went overboard. The way that the ship tilted, it's really possible.

But Patterson did appear to look at the situation with optimism, sharing that he would still book with Norwegian even though his boyfriend's family was shook.

'It was a scary moment but it makes you realize what you have in life,' added the man, who was enjoying his time at Disney World in Florida before continuing on his cruise.

The Norwegian Escape was built in 2015 and has a guest capacity of 4,266, according to their website. There are approximately 1,733 staff on-board.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
