A South Dakota man who suspected his girlfriend was cheating on him beat her to death and then dumped her mutilated body in a creek 600 miles away, where two boys walking their dog made the horrifying discovery, authorities say.
Tamara LaFramboise's dismembered corpse was found outside of Menominee, in rural Michigan, on Saturday, after she was reported missing March 5 by her worried mother. Her head, hands and feet had been removed and have yet to be found.
Stephen Falkenberg, 45, of Yankton, South Dakota, drove some 600 miles - to his brother's property - to dispose of the 46-year-old Native American woman's body, the Sioux Falls Argus Leader reports.

Falkenberg allegedly killed LaFramboise during a domestic bust-up where he accused her of cheating on him, court documents show.
He reportedly told police he pushed LaFramboise after she swung a bat at him. Just a day after she was reported missing, Falkenberg was spotted wearing a brace on one of his hands in an interview with detectives.
Detectives were only able to identify LaFramboise's body by the tattoos listed on her missing persons report. A dive team continues to search the water for the woman's missing body parts and other evidence, according to South Dakota police.
'I think it's important to remember that there is a human aspect to this case, too. And that is that Ms. LaFramboise was the daughter of a woman, her mother who still lives in New Mexico,' said Jeffrey Rogg, chief assistant prosecutor in Menominee County.
'She was the mother of two young adult children. If you're a praying person, I would urge you to consider keeping their family in mind during the next difficult days, weeks and months ahead for them,' WBAY reports.
Falkenberg, who has been charged with second-degree murder, is scheduled to make his initial court appearance Thursday in Yankton County Court. His cash-only bond has been set at $1 million.

The awful discovery comes just days after Native American tribal leaders urged Congress to improve safety measure and increase resources to tackle crime and improve safety on their reserves.
They detailed a range of problems including drug trafficking, sex crimes, and missing and murdered indigenous women.
The hearing was held by North Dakota Senator John Hoeven, who chairs the committee, and the other two members of the state's all-Republican delegation, Sen. Kevin Cramer and Rep. Kelly Armstrong.
The testimony will be used to support legislation aimed at boosting public safety for tribes, including Savanna's Act, Hoeven said.
The bill is named for Savanna Greywind, a 22-year-old Fargo woman with ties to two reservations who was killed while her baby was cut from her womb in August 2017.
The bill aims to improve tribal access to federal crime information databases and create standardized protocols for responding to cases of missing and slain Native American women.
Standing Rock Chairman Mike Faith noted the weekend discovery of LaFramboise as another example of crimes against Native American women.
Drug trafficking is often tied to violence against Native Women, Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Chairwoman Ella Robertson said in prepared remarks read by Councilwoman Lisa Jackson.
'We have experienced sex trafficking where some of our young women were trafficked off-reservation through methamphetamine drug trafficking and abused as part of a migrant industry,' she said.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
