«Breaking News» Samuel Johnson 'convinces Cassandra Thorburn to stay' after she tried to quit DWTS

Samuel Johnson previously admitted to having a 'crush' on his Dancing With The Stars rival, Cassandra Thorburn. 

And on Monday, New Idea claimed that Samuel is the main reason the ex-wife of Karl Stefanovic hasn't yet called it quits from the show, despite rumours she is struggling behind the scenes. 

The magazine reported Cassandra wanted to leave the dancing competition, but her close bond with Samuel helped her change her mind.

'Cassie is doing it tough and has quit twice, but was convinced to stay,' a source told the publication.

'Samuel has been instrumental in convincing her to stay.'

Cassandra has previously gushed about her close connection with The Secret Life of Us actor.

'Samuel and I get along so well,' Cassandra told TV WEEK last month.

'We've gotten close and we 'get' each other. We clicked instantly.'

Cassandra's admission comes after the former Secret Life of Us star confessed he was 'crushing' on the mum-of-three.

In January, the actor told Nova 96.9's Fitzy & Wippa that he 'would go there' with the former journalist.

'She's bangin', she's got the moves... I'd go there, who wouldn't? Have you seen the [promo] photo of her? he said.

'Someone slapped me on the a** during the [promotional] photo shoot last week... I won't say who - it might've been Cass!' he added.

'She's got swagger and she looks bangin'. All jokes aside, she's got the goods. I haven't seen the woman in five years, it's really exciting.' 

Cassandra was previously married to Today show host Karl Stefanovic for 21 years before their high-profile split in 2016. 

After moving on from Cassandra, Karl wed shoe designer Jasmine Yarbrough in December 2018.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
