«Breaking News» Real Housewives of Atlanta's Peter Thomas is 'blessed' to be home following arrest and jail stint

He was released from a Florida jail on Wednesday night after being arrested for writing a bogus $4,000 check.

And Real Housewives of Atlanta's Peter Thomas took to Instagram to share his happiness in being back home after six days in jail.

The 58-year-old reality star said that despite not being able to get some rest, he felt 'so blessed' to be in his own bed after a difficult few days and a few hours later, shared a video of the sunrise from his Miami condo.

'I cannot sleep because im still f***ed up over the last six days,' he said in a video shared Wednesday night. 'But you know what, it feels so blessed to be in my bed tonight.'

Peter wore a white shirt as he tried to turn down for the night, with his arm propped up against a pillow. 

He continued, 'That I can get up and go to the shower, the restroom, the refrigerator, the balcony to go look outside and I don't have to ask permission to.'

Thomas ended the video saying that more information would become available soon, only to reveal a gorgeous sunrise the next morning and saying, 'it's a beautiful world, yes it is.'

Peter was released from custody on Wednesday in the wake of his arrest last week for bouncing a $4,000 check.

He was arrested on Friday in connection with writing fraudulent checks after he deboarded a plane at Miami International Airport, and was subsequently held without bond at a Miami facility.

'This appears to have been a very big misunderstanding on several people's part,' his lawyer Keith A. Doley told TMZ, adding that 'It was not a malicious intent on Mr. Thomas’ end.'

Peter, who was formerly married to Cynthia Bailey, had a fugitive warrant in Louisiana over the check, but has since made good on the $4,000 debt through Doley, officials with St. John the Baptist Parish District Attorney's Office told TMZ Wednesday.

With the financial dispute settled, the district attorney was set to inform the Sheriff's Office they are dropping the case, paving the way for Thomas's release, according to the outlet.

Peter, who owns a bar and club in Charlotte, North Carolina, initially said in a statement that he was going to be 'acquitted from any wrongdoing,' as the allegations against him were false.

He exchanged vows with Cynthia in a 2010 ceremony that was shown on the Bravo show's third season but the pair separated in 2016 and their divorce was finalized the following year.

The two made for one of the more memorable moments in the RHOA annals during the show's sixth season in 2014, when NeNe stepped in as Peter and Gregg were in a heated argument in front of the rest of the cast over an incident that happened at an earlier event thrown by then-castmate Kenya Moore.

'Let me just say this, you need to stay out of women's business - you are causing f***ing problems,' NeNe told Peter. 'You are the only husband/boyfriend/finance that gets involved in women's business ... what we do as women is between us ... you stop trying to be a damn b***h!'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
