«Breaking News» Plotter behind acid attack on friend's son in Home Bargains is brutally beaten by inmates

A man who plotted an acid attack against a three-year-old boy has been battered by inmates on three occasions since he was jailed.

Jabar Paktia, who was slapped with a 12-year sentence for planning to spray sulphuric acid on the child, has been set upon by other prisoners since the July 21 attack.

Defending lawyer Balraj Bhatia told Worcester Crown Court his client Paktia had ‘significant injuries’ after he was attacked by prisoners.

‘He has been attacked on three separate occasions in custody, receiving significant injuries as a result,' Metro reported Mr Bhatia as saying.

He added: ‘He accepts he has been injured and may continue to be injured.’

Paktia, 42, from Newhampton Road, Wolverhampton, was part of a sickening plot involving the child's father.

They hoped to make the boy's mother look incapable of caring for him - to halt her ongoing divorce battle dating back to 2016.

Paktia, Adam Cech, Jan Dudi, Norbert Pulko and Saied Hussini were jailed for between 12 and 14 years at Worcester Crown Court on Wednesday.

The boy's father, 40, from Wolverhampton but originally from Afghanistan - who cannot be named for legal reasons - was unanimously convicted by a jury and jailed for 16 years.

A seventh defendant, Martina Badiova, 23, of Handsworth, Birmingham, was cleared of plotting the attack.

In a victim impact statement read to the court by prosecution barrister Will Martin, the boy's mother said she will be 'in greater danger than before' when the father is released from jail.

She said: 'He is the kind of person that honour matters everything to,' she said. 'I'll give an example. One day a long time ago, we were watching a video on YouTube - that was his hobby.

'We watched videos about a girl who was killed by her father. While watching I commented "that's impossible how can a father kill his daughter?"

'He said 'his daughter must have done something wrong - that's our culture. They call it honour killing. This is the way of our culture. This is what he believes.'

Judge Robert Juckes QC, sentencing, told the defendants they had carried out a 'monstrous' crime with 'obviously strong acid', probably from a car battery.

He said: 'It is an extraordinary thing in this case that not one of you, most of whom have no previous convictions, most of whom with families of your own, at any stage stood back and asked the question of yourself and others: 'what are we doing?''

Nine security guards surrounded the defendants in the dock as the verdicts were read out.

When the father was giving evidence from the witness box, one of the other male defendants mimicked the 40-year-old's testimony - saying: 'I never, I never.'

The father denied any wrongdoing or ever having met Pulko.

Pulko scoffed and shook his head on hearing that denial and jurors were shown CCTV of the pair meeting in a pub car park hours before the attack, with the father 'handing over acid' to his co-conspirator.

Later in the trial, Cech, who admitted throwing the substance, pointed the finger at Pulko.

He claimed he had been threatened at gunpoint to carry out the attack.

As he testified to the claim, Pulko got to his feet in the dock and walked down the cells' steps.

But he returned a few minutes later and glared at Cech.

After giving evidence, Cech smirked, smiled to himself and looked at the ceiling as he waited to be taken back to the cells.

As the jury deliberated, dock officers became concerned there would be trouble when the verdicts were read out.

They asked Judge Robert Juckes QC for extra security.

The father bowed his head and covered his mouth with his hand in shock after he was found guilty of conspiracy to supply a corrosive fluid with intent to burn, maim, disable or disfigure his son or do him grievous bodily harm.

Judge Juckes said: 'Everyone asked what on earth would lead a father to have acid sprayed upon his own son - what kind of people would carry out such an attack?

'I started this trial in the hope that I might gain some insight and some answer to this question, but I have not.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
