«Breaking News» Mum dresses her 3 children in 'swim team survivor' t-shirts to throw her partner a 'vasectomy party'

A mum-of-three celebrated her partner's decision to undergo a vasectomy by throwing him a party - complete with 'sperm' cake and meatballs while his kids wore 'swim team' T-shirts.

Cherish Allen, 27, from Coventry, wanted to celebrate the end of her partner Royston Smith's reproductive abilities with a 'swimmers-themed' bash, featuring a home-made cake with sperm icing, seedless grapes and 'no bits' orange juice.

The full-time mother threw the party on Friday in recognition of factory worker Royston, 36, who made the decision to 'take one for the team' after 'completing' their family with the children they have together.

'Three is plenty and once the little one came along it was very much "that's us complete," said Claire. 'I decided to celebrate him having the vasectomy in this way as it's very much our humour.

She even had T-shirts made for him and their three children Aurora, eight, Tobias, six, and Delilah, three, sporting phrases with 'swim team survivor' followed by the year they were born.

Meanwhile, Royston's witty top read: 'The swim team may have been cut, but the coach will never retire'.

'We love taking the mick out of each other - it's our dynamic,' explained Cherish.

'When I told my friend about what I had planned we kept thinking of ways to wind him up with it, obviously not in a nasty way because he's found it all hilarious.'

The mother-of-three bought an array of vasectomy-themed gifts for the party, including a 'sorry for you loss card,' 'a no ball games' sign, seedless grapes, no bits orange juice, 'no more jelly babies', fireball whisky and a sperm cake

She added: 'Then we just started rolling with it and seeing what we could do.

'After we came home from the procedure I sent him straight upstairs to have a lie down, he didn't have a clue what I'd got planned. When he did see what I'd done he just kept laughing.'

Cherish put out themed food, including 'no more (jelly) babies' sweets, and she also whipped up a hearty meal of meatballs and spaghetti, and decorated the table with 'sperm' confetti.

The dad-of-three was also given a 'sorry for your loss' card, cheeky 'no ball games' signs, a 'sorry for your loss' card and a 'Mr Vasectomy' air freshener.

Cherish also treated whisky-lover Royston to a bottle of the appropriately named Fireball liquor decorated with two deflated red balloons and a plaster.

He underwent the 20-minute operation last Friday morning at Park Leys Medical Centre in Coventry.

When the couple returned home he went for a 45-minute nap before being greeted with the surprise snip celebration.

'I had no inkling anything was going on not a clue,' explained Royston. 'When I walked into the room and saw everything I laughed a lot, what else can you do? It's nice knowing you're loved.

He continued: 'The best bit was when I got whisky as I do like that. Me and the kids shared some cake and watched a film, it was a nice relaxing day.'

Although the party was a light-hearted celebration following the procedure, Cherish said the decision was actually triggered by a series of heart-breaking miscarriages.

'Out of 10 pregnancies we've only had three children,' she explained. 'It's been a big challenge to get here. It's threatened my life each and every time.

'Every time I had pre-eclampsia. With my youngest I was on bed rest from the beginning of the pregnancy because of the number of miscarriages we'd had.'

'We had scans every two weeks as it was so high-risk. It was lovely to be pregnant, we loved every minute of it, but it was also terrifying until she came along.

'Not one day while I was pregnant did I believe I would get to bring her home, when we did it was a very big deal.'

She continued: 'With my eldest I was oblivious and I thought pregnancy was going to be just perfect, I didn't have a clue how it would end up.

'Aurora was my first pregnancy then I lost two, then had Tobias after that I just kept losing, it was devastating.

'When we had Delilah, I stayed at the hospital a few days before she was born asking them to bring her out earlier because I knew something wasn't right. They did the c-section and discovered my placenta wasn't doing very well, the cord was really thin.

'I'm pretty sure demanding that, having that mum's instinct, saved her life. When we brought Delilah home we knew we were complete as a family and that we couldn't go through the heartache of losing any more babies.

'It wasn't bittersweet, she healed a lot of what we went through, she completed us and then it was a case of 'let's quit while we're ahead' and now we're a really happy family.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
