«Breaking News» Mongrel Mob gang ditch Nazi cry of ‘sieg heil’ as official motto in wake Christchurch massacre

One of New Zealand's most notorious bikie gangs has severed its long standing Nazi ties in the wake of last week's terrorist attack in Christchurch.

The Mongrel Mob Kingdom chapter in Hamilton has changed its ways after ditching its 'Sieg Heil' rally cry following the devastating tragedy that claimed 50 lives in the country's deadliest mass shooting.

Used by the gang for more than half a century, 'Sieg Heil' was a common chant at political rallies in Nazi Germany, which translates to 'hail victory'.

Members of the fastest growing chapter in New Zealand will now acknowledge each other by saying ‘Mongrel Mob’.

'It’s about getting out there and doing things productively, constructively and positive to the best of our ability,' chapter president Paito Fatu told Teo Ao.

It's part of the group's move from violence, crime and drug abuse to a new focus on on empowering whānau (extended family), women and children.

'I look at this era as a healing time. When we look back at how we used it, it was rebelling against the system. Anything that the system saw was evil and bad, we [adopted] some of those and that was just our way of [giving] the system the finger,' Fatu said.

Members welcomed the move but admit it has taken time to adjust.

Fatu admitted many regional chapters aren't ready to follow their lead.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
