Mayor Bill de Blasio, still bruised from Amazon's decision to pull their headquarters out of Queens, is suggesting Jeff Bezos' affair is the reason behind the collapsed deal.
De Blasio hinted that the Amazon CEO's affair with news anchor Lauren Sanchez that erupted in the public eye ruined Amazon's plans to create a sprawling headquarters.
'I think we can all say that unusual things were happening within the Amazon family at that time. And that was said politely. There was clearly some unusual factors happening,' de Blasio said with a smirk on MSNBC's Morning Joe on Friday.
De Blasio expressed his disappointment and betrayal in the fallout with Amazon saying, 'We all know who the ultimate decision-maker is.'

When a show host directly asked if Bezos affair with Sanchez had anything to do with the decision, de Blasio danced around the question.
'I only am saying it was an unusual environment,' de Blasio echoed.
The New York Mayor along with Governor Andrew Cuomo rallied long and hard for Amazon to brings its ambitious sprawling 8million square feet campus to the East Coast, creating an estimated 25,000 jobs in the city.
The plan was announced last November and would have created over $10billion in revenue over the next 20 years. But then Amazon suddenly axed its plans in February citing a lack of cooperation between local politicians.
'A deal was struck and that deal was moving forward for weeks and weeks and weeks. No one discussed anything changing. … The facts are a decision was made very arbitrarily. We had an agreement. The agreement was moving forward, and then suddenly it wasn’t. That’s all I’m saying,' de Blasio said on the show.

The proposal came with intense and heated criticism, with Congress freshman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez leading the protest against bringing the tech giant to New York where it would enjoy $3billion in tax breaks and incentives.
'Mr. Mayor you floated something out that we got to pin you down on, you believe that Jeff Bezos' affair had something to do...' show host Willie Geist questioned the 57-year-old Democrat for clarity on his suggestion.
'I didn't say that. It was an unusual environment, meaning there were a lot of cost pressures, there was a lot of things going on... You're gonna figure it out yourself,' he replied.
'There was a lot of turmoil. There was a lot of turmoil … over many things and a decision was made in a very arbitrary fashion,' he added.
Bezos and his novelist wife MacKenzie Bezos announced their split on January 9 on Twitter after 25 years together.
Since Amazon's shocking pull out, New York lawmakers have mobilized campaigns to entice the tech giant back.
Governor Cuomo has tried to court Amazon executives and state Senate Democratic Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins publicly urged Bezos to reconsider the pull-out, according to Politico.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
