«Breaking News» Kym Marsh, 42, supports daughter Emilie Cunliffe, 22, at her baby shower

Kym Marsh and her daughter Emilie Mae Cunliffe have moved in together ahead of Emilie giving birth to her first child.

The Coronation Street actress, 42, is set to become a grandmother in the coming months and it has also been revealed she will serve as birthing partner to her daughter, 22.

The baby shower took place at House of Evelyn in Manchester with 70 guests including fellow Coronation Street star Alison King.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, Emilie told how her mother can't wait to meet her grandchild, a boy, due in May.    

She said: ‘Mum absolutely cannot wait. Bringing up a baby is hard enough, let alone for someone my age, so having my mum there to support me will be a godsend.’ 

Kym added: ‘Emilie’s grateful she’s able to stay at home. It’s good that we moved house when we did as there’s room for the baby.’ 

The actress will serve as birthing partner for her daughter along with Emilie's boyfriend Mike Hoszowskyj, meaning she will give her practical and emotional support during labour. 

She said: 'I’m one of the birthing partners – she’ll have me and Mikey. It was just a given. My mum was at all of mine and my sister’s births.'

Emilie admitted she never asked her mother to be her birthing partner but it was a given that she would because they do everything together. 

Kym recently shared an emotional Instagram message marking her youngest daughter Polly's eighth birthday.

In it, she described Polly as a 'gift' given to her by her late son Archie, who was stillborn ten years ago.

She wrote: '8 years ago today I was blessed with the most amazing gift I could have ever wished for.

'My beautiful Polly was born. My little girl doesn’t even know how very special she is. She saved me. 

'She brought me light through such darkness, my sunshine, my absolute world.

'We didn’t have an easy ride getting her here. It was a rough ride, not just my pregnancy, but her first few weeks of life were scary and tough for her but she is one hell of a fighter and she fought and overcame every obstacle she was faced with.

'Polly, I am so very proud of you. I am so very grateful for you and I feel so lucky that I was given the chance to be your mummy.

'You are a gift. A gift from above. A gift from your big brother I believe. I believe he sent you to us. I am so thankful for that.

'So on this day my sweetheart. Know how very much you are loved and cherished. You beautiful, funny, kind, caring, wonderful little girl. Happy birthday darling. I love you to the moon and back. Always and forever xxx.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
