«Breaking News» Kobe Bryant and his pregnant wife Vanessa want to try for a fifth child so that they can have a son

They've been married since 2001 and share three daughters, with a fourth on the way. 

But Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa are already looking ahead to their fifth child. 

The 40-year-old basketball legend revealed that they want to try for a son before Vanessa, 36, will feel their family is 'complete'.

He told Extra that Vanessa - who is currently pregnant with a baby girl to add to their clan of Natalia, 15, Gianna, 12, and Bianka, 2 - is excited about growing their family further. 

'I think she wants a boy more than I do,' the Lakers superstar joked, adding, 'I love having girls — I'm super, super excited about that.'

'She is as well,' he said of his wife.  'She wanted a boy so he can be Mama's boy forever - that sort of thing. We'll see if I can deliver, I don't know.'

Bryant was promoting his new book The Wizenard Series: Training Camp, and joked that his wife was teasing him about giving her all daughters.

'She's like, "You go see if you can hit a clutch shot, you gave me all girls, let's see if you can bring a boy!" Nope, not yet, we'll see, we'll see,' the sportsman - who won an Oscar for animated short film Dear Basketball in 2018 - told them. 

He explained that his three daughters also helped write his sports fantasy series: 'They read the story as it was being written. They would be really, really direct and be like, "Dad, that's a wack idea, don't do that," or, "Don't say that, the line is really cheesy, don't say that." They were brutally honest. It went both ways - negative and positive.' 

Bryant says that he drew on his own experience to write the story about self-acceptance and internal conflict. He shared, 'some of the fears I dealt with struggled with and tried to overcome.'

He explained that he was also inspired by fictional characters Harry Potter and Mary Poppins, telling the publication: 'The idea to have a magical figure come in and guide young children was interesting to me, if I could take that into the sports world.' 

Their first child was daughter Natalia Diamante Bryant born in 2003.

Due to an ectopic pregnancy, Vanessa suffered a miscarriage in the spring of 2005.

Their second daughter, Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant, was born in 2006.

In 2011, she filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, and the couple requested joint custody of their daughters. 

But by 2013 they were back together. In 2016 they welcomed their third child, Bianka Bella.

They met in 1999 when he was 21 and she was 17. They became engaged just six months later in May 2000. She was still a senior at Marina High School in Huntington Beach, California.

The beauty finished high school through independent study.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
