«Breaking News» ISIS say they are being subjected to a 'holocaust' as US-backed forces attack the last enclave

Some 2,000 people - mainly ISIS militants - have surrendered to US-backed forces closing in around their last enclave after the terror group complained they were being subjected to a 'holocaust.'

A purported IS audio recording online called for revenge across the globe as the last desperate fighters declared they were the victims at Baghouz, in eastern Syria.

The Syrian Democratic Forces made painstaking efforts to permit the surrender of thousands before finding no more were forthcoming as they resumed bombardments on Sunday.

Today SDF spokesman Adnan Afrin said the latest massive group were being transferred to neutral ground for screening.

The minute-and-a half recording, released by IS supporters on social media and reported by the SITE Intelligence Group late on Monday calls 'brothers, in Europe and in the whole world' to 'rise against the Crusaders and ... take revenge for your religion.'

Thousands of women and children have been carted north to a holding camp at Al-Hol away from the brutal siege, in a humanitarian effort which has lasted for weeks.

Mustafa Bali, an SDF spokesman, confirmed air strikes had killed 38 IS fighters on Tuesday, with three of his men being lost in counter attacks.

The last bastion was pounded with air strikes and artillery throughout Sunday and Monday in a US-backed assault aimed at wiping out the last shred of its territorial rule that once spanned a third of Syria and Iraq.

Bali tweeted: 'Troops clashed with terrorists on more than one axis and the field command confirmed the death of 38 terrorists - 20 air raids were carried out, destroying a number of military vehicles, defensive fortifications, two ammunition stores and a command centre.

'The terrorists carried out two rocket attacks in two different axes: ten wounded and three martyrs.'

The SDF said earlier its fighters advanced slowly to avoid losses and were encountering sniper fire and landmines.

The defeat of Islamic State at Baghouz will mark a milestone in the campaign against the jihadist group, ending its control of populated territory in the area straddling Iraq and Syria where it suddenly expanded in 2014 and declared a caliphate.

However, the group still operates in remote territory elsewhere and has shown it will continue to mount a potent security threat, with a string of insurgent attacks in both countries.

The SDF has made 'modest advances' since resuming its assault on Sunday night, killing and wounding many jihadist fighters said Adnan Afrin, an SDF commander.

He said the SDF was advancing slowly because it wanted to complete the campaign with minimal losses.

Islamic State fighters attempted four suicide attacks but the SDF captured an arms dump, said Mustafa Bali, head of the SDF media office. One SDF fighter was killed and four wounded.

By Sunday evening, no more people had come out to surrender, prompting the SDF to start its attack.

Pro-Syrian government forces hold the opposite bank of the Euphrates across from Baghouz and Iraqi militias are stationed at the border, cutting off any easy escape route for the jihadists.

Inside Baghouz, a squalid area of makeshift shelters, garbage and trenches filmed TV on Sunday showed the harsh conditions in the ruins of Islamic State's 'caliphate'.

Amid palm trees and scrubby patches of vegetation, rusting cars stood among the bivouacs made by stringing blankets from rope. Oil drums and plastic barrels lay scattered around.

The SDF has shipped most people fleeing the wreckage of Islamic State's rule over recent weeks to al-Hol in northeast Syria where some 65,000 people now live in a camp that the U.N. says was built to house 20,000.

The obdurate support voiced by many of them for Islamic State, particularly among foreigners, has posed a complex security, legal and moral challenge for both the SDF and their own governments.

Those issues were underscored on Friday with the death of the newborn son of Shamima Begum, a British woman who left to join Islamic State when she was a schoolgirl.

On Monday, the head of the United Nations children's agency UNICEF said there were about 3,000 children from 43 countries living in al-Hol, along with many more Syrian and Iraqi children, in 'extremely dire conditions'.

'Since the 1st of January 2019, every single day, a child has died fleeing the fight against ISIS,' UNICEF head Geert Cappelaere told a news conference in Beirut.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
