«Breaking News» Incredible moment heroic cops catch three children from a third story window of a burning building

This is the incredible moment four heroic Iowa police officers catch three young children dropped to safety from a third story window of a burning building by their desperate mother.

The senior cops have been praised for their quick thinking and bravery after body camera footage of the moment they arrived on the scene was released.

In footage taken from the scene the four men, named as Cole Johnson, Craig Vasquez, Tyler Kelley, and Casey Sanders, are seen helping the Des Moines firefighters with a blaze at an apartment block.

Police say the officers 'quickly positioned themselves outside the building' after the emergency services were called in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

One officer is heard shouting to the mother, later identified as O'Sheana Harrison, as each child - all aged three or under - is thrown one by one to safety on the ground below.

He says: 'Ma'am, get all your kids by the window. Send them down, I got them. Drop them.'

Sirens can be heard in the background of the police bodycam footage as the cops carry out their daring rescue.

The first child drops into an officer's arms as he tells O'Sheana to 'keep going'. The youngster can be heard crying and is comforted by the law enforcement official.

They then continue the rescue, calling out 'next one' before all three children, named as three-month-old Jayciere, 18-month-old Ariyah and three-year-old Breeaylah, are saved.

Huge flames can be seen billowing from one of the windows of the complex as the officers shout for a ladder to help rescue O'Sheana.

They add: 'We got somebody trapped, we got the kids. Hold on, it's ok. We got the babies, just stay calm. You're ok.'

The officers can then be heard comforting the visibly distressed kids while rescue efforts are made to free their mom, telling them: 'Your mommy is going to get out, ok. I got you, baby.'

No one was injured in the incident and all residents were evacuated safely.

O'Sheana later praised the officers for their help in saving the lives of her children.

She told WhoTV: 'When I opened the door it was just like a wall of thick smoke.

'He was like, "you got to trust me," and I don’t trust anybody with my kids, but at that point in time, all I thought was I had to get them out.

'I can't say thank you enough. I owe them the world because they saved my world.'

In a statement on Facebook Des Moines police wrote: 'Early this morning, DMPD officers responded to assist DMFD with a structure fire at an apartment complex in the 3700 block of MLK Parkway. Officers arrived to find that heavy smoke was preventing their access to the 3rd floor.

'Senior Police Officers Cole Johnson, Craig Vasquez, Tyler Kelley, and Casey Sanders quickly positioned themselves outside the building, and caught children that were dropped to them from a 3rd floor window. All are well.

'Please join us in thanking these officers, and those who serve with them, for leaving their homes every day to help make Des Moines the safe and secure city that it is!'

Lt. Rick Thomas of the Des Moines Fire Department said the cause of the fire is now being investigated.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
