«Breaking News» Ariana Grande in lavender Christian Siriano bubble dress while named Billboard's Woman of the Year

Billboard's Woman of the Year Ariana Grande opted for a custom Christian Siriano Pre-Fall 2019 creation to accept her trophy at the Manhattan ceremony on Thursday.

The bronzed 25-year-old's lavender strapless bubble dress and matching suede Le Silla thigh-high boots were selected by 'Image Architect' Law Roach.

The four-time Grammy nominee sported her usual heavy-handed, fully contoured make-up by Rokael Lizama.

We’re used to seeing Ariana Grande in oversized hoodies and over-the-knee boots, but when it comes to events she swaps all of that for a statement dress, and when she attended the Women in Music event in New York it was no exception.

Receiving the Billboard's Woman of the Year honour, the singer graced the stage in a gorgeous lilac dress, which is a custom pre-fall ’18 bustier gown by Christian Siriano, and completed the look in her signature style boots by Le Silla.

We love her sweet shade of lilac that shows of Ariana’s golden glow and is a great alternative to an LBD. Well, this being Ariana we wouldn’t expect your typical trends.

Fancy copying the music mogul? Then be prepared to splash-the-cash and click (right) to shop the grey-blue shade of the dress at Farfetch for just over £11,200 and complete the look with her boots below.

But don’t worry if the price tag is a little OTT because our round-up of dresses below means you can channel Ariana’s style from as little as £11.

Hairstylist Josh Liu fastened Ariana's signature faux-nytail extension, concealing her ultra-short bob beneath.

Grande (born Butera) also rocked a diamond choker, ring, and stud earrings as she posed on the pink carpet set up at Pier 36.

'I'm really lucky and really unlucky at the same time,' the Florida-born belter admitted to Billboard on Wednesday about her ups and downs.

'I live fast and full-out, and I make mistakes, and I learn from them and I'm grateful no matter what happens.'

'I got myself to a place where I would be able to do things like drop a surprise record and have it be the biggest single I’ve ever had,' Ariana told the mag.

'I guess there's not much I'm afraid of anymore. When life tries you with such serious s*** so many times, your priorities change. I don't give a s***. I just want to be happy and healthy - one day - and make music.'

Lady Marmalade herself Patti LaBelle provided a bumbling, nervous introduction to Ariana, remarking how she has 'shoes older than her and taller than her' but praising her four-octave soprano pipes.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
