«Breaking News» How three quarters of 25 to 30-year-olds have used their phones on the toilet

Britons have become so hooked on their mobiles that staggering numbers check them on the toilet, in bed – and even during sex.

Three-quarters of people aged 25 to 30 have texted, emailed, used apps or surfed the internet while on the loo, while an astonishing one in six confessed to checking social media while making love.

Two-thirds of 25- to 34-year-olds say they delayed or refused sex so they can use their phones, while 14 per cent said they had even answered a phone call during the throes of passion.

Broadcaster and psychologist Corinne Sweet said: ‘Many of us are glued to our gadgets in an almost addictive way.

‘Our unthinking dependency on them is actually getting in the way of being intimate, including even having sex.’

The findings also reveal that almost one in five people admitted they often texted someone who was in the same room, rather than going to speak to them.

And one in six spend more time on their phones during a typical week than they do talking to their partners.

Ms Sweet added: ‘Incessant phone use interferes with communication flow. It can also erode trust, honesty and closeness between partners, friends and family. Taking a phone break, especially in the bedroom, is definitely important for our mental health and wellbeing.’

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
