«Breaking News» How Argentina's Juliana Awada is the First Lady of friendship

Wrapping their arms around each other to pose for a photo, Argentina's First Lady Juliana Awada and Queen Letizia of Spain looked delighted to be reunited in Buenos Aries yesterday.

The Spanish royal, 46, and Ms Awada, 44, beamed and chatted happily as they spent time together away from their husbands.

Such a warm display is unusual at this type of formal outing, but not for Ms Awada, who has established herself as one of the warmest figures on the global stage, seemingly using her warmth to befriend everyone she encounters.

From Melania Trump to Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, Ms Awada has been  snapped sharing similarly affectionate moments with a string of other high-profile women.

Speaking to FEMAIL, body language expert Judi James explained her 'visual charisma' and 'tactile rituals of affection' are used as a way to 'instantly defrost' even the 'iciest-looking royals and first ladies'.

This was on full display when Ms Awada and her husband Mauricio Macri, President of Argentina, welcomed King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain to Buenos Aries on their first state visit to Argentina.

The couples last spent significant time together when the Prime Minister and First Lady visited Madrid two years ago.

At the time much was said about how well the queen and Ms Awada appeared to get on - and time clearly hadn't lessened their fondness for each other.

Commenting on their meeting, Judi said: 'Ms Awada stands back here, offering Queen Letizia an invitation for a hug rather than leaning in to enforce one. This announcement gesture will make the touch and embrace that follows feel natural and synchronized.

'The pair end in a mirrored pose with their arms around one another’s waists that signals genuine, like-minded friendship.'

MELANIA TRUMP

In December last year it was the American First Lady, Melania Trump, who benefited from Ms Awada's hospitality.

The start of the G20 Leaders' Summit in Buenos Aries kicked off with a photocall for the spouses and Ms Awada was seen giving Mrs Trump a hug and a kiss before they posed for photos.

Judi explained how Ms Awada broke down Melania's barriers, saying: 'With her light cream outfit and her coat slung perilously around her shoulders, Melania didn’t turn up looking like the most embraceable target for Juliana but Juliana’s no-nonsense friendship signals invite an instantly tactile response from the First Lady.

'Juliana stands back here with her arms bent at the elbow and splayed out, palms up, which suggests the pair have had many meetings before and finished as close friends. There’s an air of fun about her pose too, which earns an unusually wide grin from Melania.'

BRIGITTE MACRON

It was a similar story in July that year when Ms Awada spent time with French First Lady Brigitte Macron at the G20 Summit in Hamburg.

While climbing off a boat at a 'spouse' event, Ms Awada offered Mrs Macron some help and the pair strode onto the jetty hand-in-hand.

Judi added: 'Juliana slips into a more gallant and protective mode with Brigitte, holding her hand with meshed fingers but raising it up to steady her as she embarks from a boat in very high heels.

'Juliana looks casually affectionate here, using a very spontaneous-looking ritual of support that makes Brigitte grin as though the pair are sharing the joke.'

QUEEN MAXIMA OF THE NETHERLANDS

The Hague, Netherlands, March 2017: Ms Awada put on a similarly enthusiastic display when she was welcomed to the Netherlands by Queen Maxima in March 2017. Judi said the pair look 'almost as though they’re embarking on a hen night' as they step out of the car

The exuberant Dutch royal, 47, was born in Buenos Aires, and it seemed the women had plenty to discuss as they carried out engagements together in the Hague.

One particularly sweet photo shows the women walking with their arms around each other as they made their way from their car.

Judi said: 'In this pose the women look almost as though they’re embarking on a hen night and it’s Julia’s signals of confidence and fun that appears to allow Queen Maxima to adopt a very youthful, almost giggly smile.

'The embrace looks like a give here with both women very naturally placing an arm around one another’s waists in a sign of what looks like long-term friendship.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
