«Breaking News» Heart-stopping moment driver races the WRONG way along the M90

This is the heart-stopping moment a motorist causes a devastating pile-up by driving into oncoming traffic on the wrong side of a major motorway.

The driver was seen going the wrong way down the M90 in Perthshire with a look of 'total fear'.

He smashes head-on into a car in the fast lane in shocking footage taken from another car.  

The rogue driver sustained multiple injuries and the collision wrote off several vehicles.

Witnesses saw his silver motor on the northbound carriageway shortly before 2pm on March 20.

This is the moment just before the crash, as the silver vehicle ploughed head-on into oncoming traffic in Perthshire

Mobile phone footage shows him pass two huge HGVs before finally ploughing into a yellow vehicle.

It then hit another vehicle, which was sent spinning by the force of the collision, before coming to a halt.

Police confirmed that there were multiple injuries, luckily none of which are life-threatening. Driver Wattie Garland witnessed the incident near Bridge of Earn.

He told the Dundee Courier: 'I was overtaking a lorry and I saw a car — I'm not sure what type — with a male driver in it and he was just coming the wrong way down towards the motorway.

The crash wrote off several vehicles and left one driver with multiple injuries after he was seen driving the wrong way in the fast lane with a look of 'total fear' on his face

'A lorry behind me swerved out and I just saw dust and cars on the hard shoulder in my mirror. I think the car might have gone into the side of the lorry.'

He added: 'He was going about 30 to 40mph but the guy's face was total fear. He'd obviously realised he'd made a mistake, rather than anything deliberate.

'I'm just in a bit of shock because it was so close to me being involved in it. I just hope everyone is OK.'

Police Scotland said: 'One man is confirmed to have sustained injuries which are not life threatening.'

The motorway was closed for more than three hours as queues formed following the carnage.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
