«Breaking News» 'Goodbye for a little while': Grieving Holly Willoughby shares emotional tribute to her grandmother

Holly Willoughby shared an emotional tribute to her grandmother on Tuesday as she revealed her nan had passed away. 

The presenter, 38, shared a picture of herself with her grandmother as she informed her Instagram followers that the matriarch had died aged 90.  

Alongside the sweet image, she wrote: 'Today we say goodbye for a little while to my beautiful Nan...'

She added: 'Go and be with Grandad... he's been waiting for you... love you... miss you...'

Following the heartbreaking news, Holly dropped out of hosting This Morning's Tuesday edition and was replaced by Rylan Clark-Neal today, who joined Phillip Schofield to present the show. 

Addressing Holly's absence, Phillip told viewers: 'Holly's not here today. Sadly her nan has passed away and today's the funeral. 

'We're sending lots of love to Holly's family and especially her mum Lynne.'

The mother-of-three has spoken about her close bond with her own mother, previously revealing that she still speaks to Lynne 'a few times a day'. 

She told The Mirror: 'I still run everything past her. If I'm about to buy a pair of shoes, I'll go, "Mum, do you think I should be doing this?" 

'It's silly. I'm a fully grown woman, of course I can buy shoes. But I still like to talk to her about everything.'  

Just last week, Holly shocked fans when she shared a selfie with her 71-year-old mother Linda, with her followers marvelling at how similar they look.

Both showcased flawless complexions, grinning from ear-to-ear, with each of the ladies wearing their blonde locks loosely around their shoulders.

They even sported matching black dresses - with Linda accessorising with silver necklaces.  

Holly is famously close to her family - just getting back from a ski trip with her husband and their three children.

The ITV host shares her children Harry, nine, Belle, seven, and Chester, four, with husband of 12 years Daniel Baldwin. 

Last year she gushed over her mum and dad Terry's marriage and how she talks to Linda about 'everything'. 

Speaking to The Mirror, she said: 'My mum and dad have been together for years and years, and they're a real team... My mum instilled in me that importance of family life and being married to somebody who is a real partner.

'From watching her with my dad over the years, I knew that was something I really wanted for myself.'

Holly took her family - including her parents - to film I'm A Celebrity.. Get Me Out Of Here! in November, when she stood in for Ant McPartlin on the series.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
