It's the age-old question of whether toilet paper should sit over or under the roll.
And Australian consumer organisation CHOICE has finally solved the hotly-contested household debate once and for all.
The answer? Over is the correct way to hang toilet paper.
CHOICE found a 128-year-old patent from September 15, 1891 with a detailed graph clearly showing the paper going up and over the roll, not under.
So placing your toilet paper overhand is using the wonder household product precisely as its creator Seth Wheeler had intended.

'Here at CHOICE, we're fearless in finding truth in the most complex consumer concerns... which is why we set out to provide a conclusive answer to the controversial question of whether to hang your toilet paper over or under the roll,' CHOICE said.
'So, at risk of permanently losing members, we're here to announce that "over" is the correct way to hang toilet paper.'
And most Australians seem to agree.
'There are two types of people in this world. People who put their toilet rolls "over", and then there are monsters,' one commented.
Another said: 'I just make sure that wherever I go I always helpfully change the toilet roll to the correct way - over.'
One suggested: 'If the paper has a print on it then it's designed to go over. I think the only way you'd have it under would be to stop cats unravelling it.'

Another said: 'Over. Under makes me uncomfortable.'
One posted: 'Definitely over. Unders [sic] are weird.'
And another person commented: 'Over. Because I'm not a monster.'
Controversially, there were some who preferred their toilet paper to sit under the roll.
'Under all the way. It gives you better, quicker and easier one-handed control of the number of sheets used,' one commented.
One suggested: 'Under doesn't unravel.'
And another said: 'Only goes under if it's in one of those multi-roll dispensers.'
Meanwhile, many said they were just grateful for toilet paper.
'Who cares! We are lucky we can afford to even buy toilet paper. I wonder how many communities in the world can even get it,' one said.
Another commented: 'Who cares...as long as you have toilet paper.'
One said: 'Who cares! First world problems! At least we have toilet paper! Though I have been known to deliberately put it the "wrong" way if I have OCD people around.
And another posted: 'I'm just grateful when my boys change the roll and don't leave me stranded!'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
