'Somebody's the mother of your kids, they're going to be the most important, central person in your life, and that's good,' Ben said.
Affleck and Garner have remained committed to co-parenting their three children, Violet, 13, Seraphina, 10, and Samuel, seven.
'I hope I'm a pretty good dad,' he quipped. 'I certainly try very hard. I'm lucky they've got a great mom, and she helps out a great deal with making sure that we co-parent in as good a way as possible.

'Somebody's the mother of your kids, they're going to be the most important, central person in your life, and that's good,' Ben said of Jen; the couple were seen together in 2014
'That's really the central preoccupation in my life, you know, the focus of my life is what I love doing. It's what makes me happy and the rest of the stuff kind of follows.'
The couple were married in June 2005 and finalized their divorce in November nearly three years after separating.
And Jennifer has remained a positive figure in his life, even staging an intervention in August to help Ben into rehab following a challenging summer where he ended his relationship with SNL producer Lindsay Shookus before sparking a fling with model Shauna Sexton.

'It doesn't have to sort of subsume my whole identity and be everything, but it is something that you know you have to work at.'
The actor and director previously spent time in a facility for alcohol addiction in 2001 and also 2017.
On again? Ben is rumored to be 'back on' with Shookus after the pair were spotted on the red carpet together Sunday night
'I feel like I had a problem and I really want to address it, and I take some pride in that,' he said. 'It's about yourself, your life, your family, and you know people. We encounter these kinds of hurdles and we have to deal with them.'
And Affleck is feeling stronger than ever, even recently taking up Alex Rodriguez's 10 Day challenge of no sugar and no carbohydrates.
'It was a little bit tough, but I did it,' he boasted. 'It's awful for the first couple of days because I am definitely somebody who likes bread and sugar. It's terrible, you get through it and you're like I feel pretty good. Of course by the end of ten days, I had three bagels.'
Ben is rumored to be 'back on' with Shookus after the pair were spotted on the red carpet together Sunday night to promote his new Netflix film with Charlie Hunnam, Triple Frontier where Affleck portrays a former U.S. special forces operative.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
