«Breaking News» Amal Clooney launches her own award in partnership with Prince's Trust

Amal Clooney will launch her own award to celebrate young inspirational women, Prince's Trust International announced.


Prince Charles offered Mrs Clooney an ambassadorial role within his charity, Prince's Trust International, where she is expected to launch the Amal Clooney Award. 


The prominent human rights lawyer, who married George Clooney in 2014, will launch the prize that is open to inspirational women aged between 11 to 30.


The couple, who are close friends with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will cement their relationship with the royal family further this week as Mrs Clooney becomes an ambassador to the Prince's Trust.

And women 'who have succeeded against the odds to make a difference in their communities' are encouraged to put their names forward for her award.


Charles, who dined with the human rights barrister and her husband George, 57, at Buckingham Palace last Tuesday, is said to find Amal, 41, 'deeply impressive'. 


The first recipient of the prize will receive their award in 2020.


Amal Clooney said: 'I am honoured to have been invited by Prince's Trust International to participate in this global initiative celebrating young women who are change-makers in their communities. 


'It is a privilege to be able to play a part in a project that will draw attention to incredible young women who are the future leaders of our world.'

Amal Clooney is a barrister who specialises in public international law, international criminal law and human rights. 


Ranked as one of the top lawyers in the UK in her field she has previously served as a senior adviser to Kofi Annan when he was the UN's Envoy on Syria.  


Any women working in 'anything from sustainable farming schemes to community projects in refugee camps, to work rebuilding war zones' are encouraged to apply.

Group Chief Executive of The Prince's Trust, Dame Martina Milburn DCVO CBE, says: 'Through the work of the Prince's Trust Group around the world, we see every day the struggles and the triumphs of women everywhere. 


'We are delighted to be working with Amal to shine a light on their passion and celebrate unsung female heroes everywhere. 


'There is so much we can achieve together to help young people, and their communities, all over the world.' 


The Prince's Trust was founded in 1976 by Prince Charles to help vulnerable youths aged between 11 to 30 get their lives back on track. 


Applications for the Amal Clooney Award are open to women or for others to nominate women until December 31, 2019.


Nominees will be judge on how inspirational, impactful, sustainable, and life-changing their actions have been.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
