«Breaking News» Alanis Morissette, 44, announces she is pregnant with her third child

Alanis Morissette announced on Monday that she is pregnant with her third child.

The Jagged Little Pill hitmaker shared the happy news on her Instagram account as she posted a profile shot of her baby bump where she looks to be over five months along. The caption read, 'So much NEWness...' 

The 44-year-old singer already has daughter Onyx, aged one, and son Ever, aged eight, with husband Mario Treadway.

In the new Instagram photo, Alanis is in a black turtleneck sweater that hugs her bump nicely.

The star is singing into a microphone as she wears large headphones over her newly chopped hair. A laptop computer is perched on a wood table nearby.

The image was taken in a living room in front of a white fireplace that had a pyramid and two statues as well as several candles and a painting of angels around it.

The star has been working on new music this year. Her Jagged Little Pill musical, which premiered in May 2018, is also headed to Broadway this fall.

Having a child over 40 is not unusual, but there still are dangers associated with it.

According to babycenter.com 'there is a risk of pregnancy complications, such as high blood pressure and gestational diabetes, which increases after 35 and continues to rise in your 40s.'

The odds of genetic problems also jump as women get older.

Alanis and Mario wed in 2010 at their home in Los Angeles. Before Mario, she had a serious relationship with Ryan Reynolds. 

In 2016 she told biography.com that being a mother has changed her life in ways she did not expect.

Hiding that baby bump: On March 8 Alanis posted this photo where she was concealing her midsection as she stood next to her pals

Another clue: And on Sunday the songbird shared this image where her tummy was hidden too. The caption said, 'The cure for anything is salt water. tears, sweat, or the sea'

'My manager said to me at one point many years ago, “Your life’s going to change when your baby is born – but only forever.” I have discovered the virtues of coffee, truly,' she laughed.

'Coffee has become very helpful in that I’m sleeping a lot less. 

'But motherhood is also all about integration for me. Previously, personal fulfillment was at home, and then I was on the road, living my vocation. 

'Everything was really compartmentalized. Separate. There was this, and then there was that. Now everything is really integrated.

'I come into my room to do an interview, I go breastfeed, I talk to my husband, I go write a song. Everything’s blended together and, frankly, not a moment too soon. It’s always been a goal, this integration.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
