Fashion influencers are known for filling Instagram with photos of their latest buys - most of which are often too pricey for most to even dream of purchasing for themselves.
But thankfully the most recent style trend to take over the social media site is a lot more affordable: a $3 faux pearl hair clip set from Amazon.
The budget-friendly price of the chic hair accessories have prompted dozens of people, from influencers to models to writers, to seize the opportunity to snap them up for themselves - before flaunting their own take on the trend on Instagram.

Trend alert! Instagram has been taken over by a budget-friendly $2.30 pearl hair clip trio from Amazon, with dozens of influencers like Claude-Alicia modeling them on the social media site

Show it off! Plus-size blogger Kristina Zias opted to wear one of the barettes at the side of her head along with a tight curl

Show it off: Some people prefer to wear multiple hair clips at one time, with Sarah Najafi modeling two at once

Chic: The clips are available in two packages, a trio for just $2.30 and a quad for $7.99
In the past few months there has been a surge in the number of women sharing images of themselves wearing the hair clips, which come in a pack of three, each of which is a slightly different size and shape.
Some have chosen to wear one clip at a time, while others have worn multiple designs at once.

Hot property: The hair clips have a slew of very positive reviews on Amazon
Then there are those who have used one of the wallet-friendly pieces in order to add some extra sparkle to an otherwise-expensive look.
And it's not just Instagram where the clips are proving to be particularly popular - the reviews on Amazon also offer glowing opinions on the hair clips, which currently boast an impressive 4.5 out of 5 star rating.
According to customers, despite the cheap price of the hair accessory, the quality more than matches designs that cost a lot more money.
'These clips are exactly as pictured, just gorgeous!!' one customer wrote of the designs.
'They’re such great quality for the price and are large/thick. Not flimsy or cheap at all.'
Another chimed in: 'These pins are gorgeous and glamorous!!! Definitely worth the purchase.'
'Beautiful, well-made clips that were sent well packed,' one customer agreed. 'Would order again!'

Matchy matchy: A number of people have been stacking the clips in their hair, with these two Instagram users modeling matching styles

Get wavy: According to the Amazon reviews, the clips are made to a very high standard, despite the incredibly low price point

Stand-out: 'These clips are exactly as pictured, just gorgeous!!' one Amazon customer wrote of the designs in their glowing review

Warning: There are some alternative hair clips being sold on Amazon, however the original seller told potential buyers to beware of fake options

Trend spotting: Hair clips have been a huge style trend in recent months, appearing on both catwalks and in stores
The hair clips are currently listed for just $2.30 for three clips on the retail giant's site, while an alternative four-piece package is available for $7.99, if someone wants to stock up on a few more options - which many Amazon customers appear to have done.
However the popularity of the hair clips appears to have caused a few problems for the brand behind them, Aguder, which shared a warning to potential buyers not to opt for any alternative - and perhaps fake - options that may be listed for an even cheaper price.
'BUYER NOTICE: ONLY Aguder / Textention IS [THE] ORIGINAL,' the seller posted on the page for the hair clips.
'OTHER LINKS [ARE] FAKE, especially the lower price[s]. Buyer should check the feedback before make the order! Fake sellers don't ship the items.'
The popularity of the hair clips comes in the wake of a huge surge in the popularity of hair clips, both on the catwalk at Fashion Month, and among a slew of big-name brands.
Accessories designer Jennifer Behr offers a range of chic, but much pricier, hair clips and headbands, while celebrity hairstylist Justine Marjan has just launched a second line of funky hair clips in collaboration with Kitsch that have even been worn by Ariana Grande during her recent Sweetener tour shows.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
