«Breaking News» 'When is this over?" Nicole Kidman says Keith Urban couldn't wait for her role in Destroyer to end

In her confronting new movie, Destroyer, Nicole Kidman plays battle-worn LAPD detective Erin Bell, who is tormented by her own demons.

A-lister Nicole looks barely recognisable in the thriller, as the years of her character's hard life are etched deeply into her face.

The physical transformation was a shock not only for the mum-of-two but for her family as well - especially husband Keith Urban, 51.

As reported in BW Magazine on Saturday, Nicole, 51, said: 'Oh, Keith couldn't wait for it to end. He's very supportive of my artistic choices but he did say at one point, "When is this over?"'

In the MA-rated movie, Nicole plays anti-heroine Erin who is pulled into an old case after the ringleader of a gang she had tried to infiltrate re-emerges.

The Hours star underwent a significant makeover for her role, wearing prosthetics to age her famous face and transform her into a weather-beaten, world-weary cop.

Nicole however has revealed she knew what she was getting herself in for, but was concerned about the impact her role would have on her family, which includes daughters Sunday Rose, 10, and Faith Margaret, 8.

'For Destroyer, I had to stay in character, which is what I did on The Hours, as well as Paper Boy,' Nicole told the Gold Coast Bulletin on Wednesday.

'It was a commitment that I was willing to take because artistically, there are certain things where you go, "This is going to cost me and my family to do this, but it's the artistic path",' she added.

In January, the Academy Award said her character had 'an enormous amount of self-loathing' and 'is a great cop but not functioning'.

She revealed she watched footage of wild coyotes in a bid to get inside her character's predatory mind.

The physical ...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
