«Breaking News» Warrant application for Michael Cohen raid reveals he claimed $100 million fortune

A newly released warrant application reveals that the feds had been closely monitoring longtime Donald Trump lawyer Michael Cohen for almost a year when they raided his home and office in 2018.

The application, which was unsealed Tuesday, provides a window into government monitoring of Cohen's email traffic leading up to the raid – which ultimately provided evidence that led to a guilty plea and has Cohen heading to jail in May.

In just one new piece of information, the document cites a loan applications with Sterling National Bank, and a financial statement revealing the scope of Cohen's wealth.

Cohen and his wife had built a taxi medallion that included ownership of 32 of the valuable commodities.

 A 2014 financial statement stated Cohen had $100 million in assets, and a net worth of $77 million. The statement occurred when Cohen's taxi medallions were worth significantly more than they are today.

The warrant application reveals that the company Cohen initially set up to pay porn star Stormy Daniels, Essential LLC, received 'substantial payments from foreign sources.'

The application shows investigators got permission to monitor Cohens' emails, dating from separate applications in July, August, and November 2017.

Among the details to emerge after the government released the information:

The feds were able to locate Cohen during his temporary stay in the Loews Regency hotel in Manhattan through email monitoring;

Law enforcement used a 'triggerfish' device to locate his exact room;

A Cohen email cited a conversation with his wife and said she had 'just scheduled a move for Thursday – indicated they had relocated;

The FBI sought a judge's permission to search Cohen's home, office, and the hotel, as well as a safe box at TD Bank.

An FBI official interviewed bank employees about Cohen's actual financial status back in 2015.

The application stated that Cohen made 'material misrepresentations' about his financial status to banks as he sought loans and refinancing of existing debt.

The FBI carried out a dramatic raid on Cohen's properties in May 2018. Authorities revealed that they obtained an earlier warrant to monitor his email accounts back in July 2017, it having been approved by a judge.

President Trump blasted the raid after it occurred, vouching for Cohen at the time. But since Cohen began cooperating with the Robert Mueller probe, Trump and his team have repeatedly branded him a liar.

In testimony in Congress weeks ago, Cohen furnished checks that Trump wrote him as reimbursement for his own $130,000 payment to porn star Stormy Daniels.

Parts of the warrant application related to the campaign finance violation that has Cohen heading to prison in May were redacted.

The warrant application described Cohen's position as follows: 'Cohen is an attorney who currently holds himself out as the personal attorney for President Donald Trump, and who previously served for over a decade as an executive in the Trump Organization, an international conglomerate with real estate and other holdings.'

 The U.S. Attorney's office in Manhattan said there was probable cause to believe Cohen was involved in a scheme to defraud 'multiple banks' and to make an illegal campaign contribution to Trump.

As it turns out, Cohen testified that he believes Trump 'inflated' the value of his own financial empire to obtain loans, as when Trump sought financing to buy the Buffalo Bills.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
